The pride of Manchester, Brendan Loughnane, stepped into the PFL SmartCage on a mission. The 2022 PFL Featherweight Champion secured a 1st round TKO victory over Pedro Carvalho. The victory gives Loughnane six points in the Featherweight standings and 15th knockout of his career, and is now one step closer to a return to the PFL Playoffs.
The evening’s main event featured a strategic battle between Andrey Koreshkov and Magomed Umalatov in a highly anticipated Welterweight bout. Both combatants showed their technical prowess, with Umalatov pulling away and securing a unanimous decision keeping his perfect record intact.
Logan Storley matched up with Shamil Musaev for Welterweight action. Musaev put on an impressive display and dispatched Storley in the 2nd round via KO. The result improved Musaev’s record to 17-0-1 with 10 wins by KO, and earned five points in the division.
2023 PFL Featherweight Runner-Up Gabrial Braga unleashed a flurry of strikes against Justin Gonzalez resulting in an emotional 1st round knockout and six points. Braga dedicated the victory to his father, Diego, whom he lost in January.

I don't necessarily think it was an early stop, but it was a bad time... If he'd stopped it a few seconds earlier when brendan was dropping the hits it wouldn't have been as controversial.. I think Brendan expected it to stop earlier too as he seemed to pull a few hits

It seems that Musaev will take this grand prix, as he simply did not feel the top fighter Logan Storley at all.

I was in Chicago at a bar at 10AM on the night after this fight and Loughnane and his mate came in, clearly having not slept after the fight because he fell asleep at the bar, kept trying to order drinks whilst they had drinks in front of them and when the staff refused to serve them they left swearing and saying they were going to K.O. the bar staff. Shame the lad has no class at all.

No it's not. PFL has Team Fedor, lochnane, Magomed Umulatov, Dennis Goldsov, Storley, Braga, Koreshkov, amongst many great fighters. Stop. Mma landscape has changed. With the merger there are many other elite fighters in the Bellator Champion Series.

This mma and its not guaranteed. Go watch Frankie Edgar vs Gray Maynard. Frankie was almost out, kept getting damn near knocked out, 5 times worse than this one, but came back to win that fight

Those were not bellator best. Also Bellator ran through PFL Europe, damn near beat all the PFL fighters. Bellator women are undefeated in the previous PFL event of this year

Thiago Santos was ranked in the ufc and came close to beating jon jones but has a losing PFL record, Shane burgos ranked in the ufc and left on a win streak has a losing record in the PFL, Mohammed Usman IS 3-1 in the ufc but got finishedby Brandon Sayles in the PFL, Wonderboy is a top ranked ufc fighter but got knocked out by PFL/Bellator Anthony Pettis right before he left ufc to get destroyed by PFL/Bellator Clay Colard and Stevie Ray, Philipe Lins is on a 4 fight ufc win streak and got knocked out by Bellator/PFL Vadim Nemkov. Chris Curtis lost multipletimesin PFLand got knockedout, but came to ufc and has a winningrecord and is ranked in the ufc, Petr yan has a lost to Bellato/PFL MagomedMagomedov, Manon fiorot is undefeated in the ufc and only has a career loss to Bellator/PFL Leah McCourt, Brandon Moreno lost to Bellato/PFL SergioPettis who was ranked number 2 when he was in the ufc, Glover texaira and Top ranked johnny walker got destroyed by Bellator/PFL Corey Anderson. Ufc is number 1 because of size, media, and money it makes, outside the ufc top 15 ufc fighters are average, MVP just punished number 13 ranked ufc fighter, Chandler is top 8 in the ufc and got starched by Bellator/PFL Patricio Pitbull, PFL/Bellator elite fighters are top level to.Jeremy Kennedy was 3-1 in the ufc and only lost to volkanowski. Brett johns was ranked top 10 in the ufc and was 5-2 in the ufc. Gegard Mousasi left ufc on a 5 fight win streak with wins over former ufc champs Luke Rockhold and Chris Wiedman. Benson Henderson was champ in the ufc, had a winning ufc record but lost most of his fights in Bellator, he and most of the fighters that left the ufc were still in their prime.
