I remember watching these shows as a kid

Episode 4 and 5 are backwards. Episode 4 had Ben gone and Mike quitting. Episode 5, they’re there. I was confused.

Something I have been wanting to address for at least two episodes..... THE BOATS... The boat is your home at sea. Up to 600 miles or more off shore. WHY are they not better maintained in the off season? Even I have run a surface nipper. A tool that removes paint and rust down to bare metal prepping it for deck primer and paint. All the blocks and tackle used to set and retrieve line should be cleaned, lubricated, and painted. AND ITEMS LIKE THE DOOR that are not used because they are to hard to get in and out should be made to work properly and with ease.... Of course the boat itself should be prepped and painted.... Do the boat like we do our house.... One side gets painted every summer.... In four years you start over knowing ONE side may need to be painted every year.... OF COURSE here in the USA the South side may need two coats to every one for the others.... UV rays and all. TAKE care of your home, BOAT, and it will take care of you instead of dropping valuable cargo , fish, over the side and maybe even you.

They do a lot more than you think.. plus those boats work all year round. You are just seeing one 2month sword fish season. There is a lot more to maintain that’s way more important than the paint. I live in a harbor town I know what goes into these boats to keep them fishing. They are better then they look. The ocean gives them a beating. Plus they are out there to make money not look good.

10:13 I don’t know why they don’t have Matt’s that have directional ripples, so you can pull the fish in no problem but if the go the other way it’s against the grain so to speak so that the fish are less likely to slide out of the door. Just saying seems like a wise investment. Loose a $500 fish or put in a few hundred dollar modification.
