I love what you said about having a white frame of reference in determining what's ethical or not. Not realizing our own frame of reference often puts us in a position where we think we know best without taking other perspectives into account.

I can’t tell how many times I’ve seen this and the 2 documentaries Floored about the CME in Chicago where I’m from and the The Pit about the the old NYBOT in nyc, but this one is my favorite documentary about commodities 😊

Yeah, you will see it everywhere. The western world is in a late stage capitalist, you need to be close to the politicans and/or the printing machine to keep growing, killing small and medium companies in the process.

It's a translation mistake indeed. When you listen to what he says in French, he's basically saying on a cargo worth $100M, you're trying to make $100k. And if there's a shift in markets, you stand to lose $3M, while your upside is only $100k. High risk, only the best survive
