DRX has the best mental of any team I've ever seen in LoL eSports. Down 0-2 vs. EDG after an inhib respawn and manage to reverse sweep; soundly defeated by GenG all year long and manage to get revenge on them after a rough game 1; dominated in game 1 vs. T1 and with so many objective steals all series long, yet they never gave up. Amazing mental.

DRX just hit them with the plot armor. From 2-16 last place team, to negative winrate in summer, to still qualifying for Worlds in a nail biter qualifiers, to getting through Play Ins, winning their group with Top eSports in it, then reverse sweeping the previous world champions after the most heart breaking loss ever in game 2, then beating the #1 seed from their region who they hadn't taken a single game off since June 2021, to beating the winningest organization in League's history in the finals. And this doesn't even tell the individual stories of each of their players. Simply insane

I have only watched clips; I cried when I saw Deft finally winning but then I saw Keria just looking devastated which made me heartbroken and I cried. Then I saw Faker hold his tears for his teammates then I cried again 💔 A delightful yet gloomy day

Emotions were so high going into this series. I wanted DRX to win, but I knew no matter who lost that they would be crushed emotionally. This was peak league, they played with heart and passion, they put absolutely everything they had into the game. In the end, while DRX may take the crown, they both won.

I think Keria was feeling that death on lux that decided Game 2. I very sincerely hope we don't make any roster changes. This team does great on the rift, but still a bit of work to do on drafts.

Kingen playing the Aatrox on game 4 and 5 was truly T1 underestimating their opponent, and for that alone, is deserving of the MVP award

This series almost gave me a heart attack. Especially Game 5 when Guma stole the baron. Had me jumping up and down, screaming at the top of my lungs, and running around the house. What an amazing finals that will literally go down in League history. Congrats to DRX, but also so proud of T1 and how much they’ve accomplished this year! Can’t wait till next year!

@@Jhomzz26 I know! I am so proud and happy for them! I was silent screaming as Worlds this year was at 3AM for me and I didn’t want to wake up my roommates. This roster truly deserves it, they played so well against WBG. GG T1!!! Faker FOURTH (that is just so insane) Worlds title, Zeus MVP, Oner on Lee Sin in Worlds was just beautiful, Guma was clean all throughout, and Keria’s revenge.

This was the best worlds I've watched in the 5 years I have been a fan of this game, back and forth, the underdog team vs the super legacy team and guess what, the movie ending happened but not by mistake. DRX fought agaisnt T1 toe to toe, trading blows and getting back up from selfmade mistakes, that's the blood of a champion and they happened to have it today, also their toplaner was posses this game, the gap in top lane was massive.

Yup there was some bot diff from t1 against drx, but zeus got out played by kingen, which made it really hard for t1 to fully take control of the game

this years worlds song really fit perfectly with the narrative of DRX "never say its over if i'm breathing". when sooo many people doubted them and would say its over, this is where they fail. they stepped up every single time. literally EVERY matchup they were complete underdogs who were "supposed" to get 3-0'd by their opponent. literally no faith, all votes were heavily against them and all analysts never saw them make it. it was truly a miracle run and probably one of the most competitive worlds in a long time. congrats DRX

Add Meiko and Scout to that too. The three of then were together on EDG, they won MSI together but fell short at Worlds. Deft took down his ex teammates in every stage of knockouts.

i'm sad that Faker didn't get his 4th champion win, but i am really happy for DRX for their hard won win. omg this year was just insane!

EASILY top 3 Worlds Finals EVER! Arguably the best! Absolutely incredible, nail-biting back-and-forth.

I've been away from league for about 3 years playing and watching glad I decided to watch this series and to see deft was still playing and finally got his world title

Being a champion is about showing big heart and never give up... thats what I learned from worlds. DRX knew they had a chance to win, even against Faker's T1 or Chovy's gen.j. They knew that as long as the nexus is breathing, there is still a way to victory. DRX showed tremendous mental and courage and overcame every obstacle. Thats what being a champion is all about.

Saw this game in theater's last night! Everyone in the room cheered in amazement when DRX won! THey need to change their name from DRX to BUP, because they are the Best Under Pressure lol.

What an insane series. By the end I didn't want either team to lose. I could've been happy with this, but seeing Keria's reaction broke me. I'm sure he will regret stepping on the trap (31:50) forever. Pain.

Cpt Flowers voice breaking at the end perfectly captures how tired yet excited and exhausted everyone was after watching this.

Yup the truth is, it was so close either of them could've won, in the end drx outplayed t1 when it mattered and that's what got them the win, i'm kinda sad as a t1 fan, but fully deserved win to drx, they played really good

I was supporting DRX and I'm really happy they won but I do feel T1 could have done a bit more if they didn't have such restricting drafts in some of the games

for me the team of world 22 is : in the toplane i think no one can judge that's 369 is a monster , he carried alot of games in lpl and words if just have a better players around him he will win every titles in league of legends this season . so in the toplane jdg 369 i think this season in the jgllane we have a lot of talented players oner , pyosik , peanut , canyon , jeijei , kanavi . its hard to pick one but in my opinio we should give the jgl of dk some respect for all plays in worlds and lck this season canyon for me is a monster and the duo with showmaker is just insane . so in the jgl DK Canyon in the midlane with any doubt DRX zeka this man outplayed scout , chovy ... and in the grand finals he plays so clean vs the unkillable demon king faker and in my opinion he makes opportunity to his teammate to win the finale and he carried DRX on every single game . so with any doubt DRX Zeka is the player of the tournament in the adc we have 3 names ruler, gumayushi and deft . i think deft should be here bc he is the winner of worlds 22 but his playstyle is too safe and he isn't like GNG ruller and T1 gumayushi he cant carry or make plays like them i nominated him just bc he win . for me i pick T1 gumayushi bc he reach final in the support we have 2 names beryl and keria , those 2 player are insane in this lane they dominated every game on map control i think keria is better early game maybe bc of gumayushi but beryl is monster in mid late game he is with any doubt the best support last 3 years and maybe of all time . 3 finalns on a row for DRX BERYL 20 21 22 JUST INSANE HONORABLE MENTION : T1 zeus & DRX kingen THX FOR READING

Yes if u can see the player cam around 30mins and look for keria, he was close to crying and holding himself not to breakdown after that disastrous mid fight. Nerves and pressure must be so high for him whilst if you see Beryl, he is used to it.

Heres My Analysis: What a Final that was, Wanted the under dogs to win, however Wanted to also see Faker win it 1 last time! Heres how I see it! As a representetive of EU this shows how far the West is in League right now! The Korean team that got through, Via Playins, Won Worlds, I believe thats the 3rd best team in Korea (correct me if im wrong)! This answered my question ive been asking myself the past year. With the rise of Mad Lions and Rogue in the past few seasons ahead of FnC and G2 in the LEC, is it because these teams got better or because teams like G2 and FNC got worse, well its safe to say the latter is the correct answer! Everyone roasting Pyosik for getting baron and dragons stolen from him. He and kingen literally carried this whole series. Zeka couldn't do anything even in sylas and Beryl had no presence. Deft never did anything before 20 minutes so it's just kingen and pyosik carry every fight and making all the plays

For me this final was like a staged performance with all the calculated drama, especially game 2 and 3. It's one thing that you can never see more than ~2-3k gold diff between teams to maintain excitement. When diff came close to 2k the leading team always made a terrible mistake. But what was realy unbelievable for me: the steals. If you carefully check the junglers either did not use their smite at all or used when the boss HP was far away from its dmg (1st tactic for DRX, 2nd T1).
