Full Clip On Matted Persian Cat
Charlie the Persian cat arrived for his full clip today. He absolutely loves to be outdoors and so his coat had become very pelted literally all over. So we had no option but to give him a lion clip. We have asked his Dad to try and help Charlie by grooming him every day. Apparently Charlie does not like being brushed, and tends to hiss and growl at Dad. So we are hoping that after Charlie being well handled today, he may be a little more tolerant of his Dad in the future.
Our longhaired cats do take a lot of looking after, but if you make it a habit every day for just a few minutes, then it will save your cat from getting matted.

Poor Charlie was looking so scruffy!! He looks a lot better with his eyes cleaned up. Charlie, you were such a good baby!

Yes the eyes are always a problem area for the Persians. It's such a shame. And for apparently not liking having his eyes done, he loved it when I cleaned them for him.
I love that this poor smoosh-faced boy hears the call of the wild.

My Persian Himalayan Fynn, loves watching and hearing your voice, while I groom him! 😁 Thanks for the tips on grooming! He falls asleep watching you.😊 We use treats to bribe Fynn, on the areas he does not enjoy, back legs and lower tummy. Thank you for showing us how to groom properly.☺

Ha ha this is briliiant! Yes some of my regular cat clients used to recognise my voice when their Mums and Dads played my videos and they would come running to see their Aunty Nita!
It makes me so sad to see Persian cats with gunked up eyes like that🥺 they look infected and like their owners neglect them. I clean my babies eyes every day

What is that stuff that comes out of the cat's eyes? I've only had shorthair cats and I've never seen that on my cats. Is is a persian cat trait?
Used to have a cat simmiler to Charlie exept he had longer nose,gray coat with white paws and chest he was a lot outdoor spring-autom period and dispite coaming him ect everyday he would always get matted becose of the debree he had in coat however it did help not getting matts that hard or deep into skin. Was the most cuddely thing that lived til age 16 but hated the vets lol

Your pusscat lived to a good age - I do love a cuddly Persian, although I have never owned one myself. I groom enough of them, so don't really want to add another one to my family. I will stick with the shorthair Burmese breed for now.
