Sometimes error like this occurs, it can occur due to many reasons, eg: for beam ,if you are giving a level where there is no beam. My suggestion is to start from a small model with 4 columns, once you have some experience, you can attempt anything

While Going to perform design we don't know about the column size so its center is taken, later after design is completed we can overlap with the architectural plan and assign column locations properly by double checking

If you are using Staad connect edition, you should be able to use it.

When i try to import staad file into tekla one notification popup it says "check that it is not a manufacturing model" What is the solution for this problem

Best solution is do not import, just make the model directly in Tekla structure. I know the advertising can be done in a presentable way, but in opinion there will always be some compatibility issues.

Can we use x and y coordinate and z as elevation insted of 'y'. You have taken y as zero in plane .

That's the default settings in Staad, though you can change it

You can do it in Staad by increasing the size, however for RCC design Staad doesn't select failed members automatically, you have to check the design report and compare, which is difficult for big structure, so RCDC is better for solving the failed members.

There could be 2 scenerios 1. Staad file has some errors, check the analysis of the Staad file 2. Version difference between Staad and RCDC

after analysis you may have access from staad pro connect software.

You are already selected min ne max dio of steel bars while in analysis and design part of stadd pro.then why you again choose the size of bars for beams, columns and footings in RCDC

In RCDC we do detailing separately, so we have to assign, basically only the frame analysis results are taken into RCDC, the Design done in Staad does not matter, you can choose to skip it, only perform the analysis part.

It happens no worries about that, the structure is complex and many loads come combined through other members, so this can happen.

It works differently for dissimilar floors, practically most buildings are dissimilar, so this way is preferred. I know you are telling this because in most tutorials they do this, we can easily do that when the floors are similar. But we have to dig deeper, have you seen any house having similar floors? The answer will be very few, so dissimilar floors means, dissimilar beam arrangements, hence this approach. Also do you expect to have columns at all intersections? There can be intersections due to beams also. In that case you cannot use linked steps. Hope I could clear your query.

@@MainakChoudhury Sir there is building planner option to generate rcc buildings layouts of slabs and it automatically generates 3d model with precision column beam offsets Only problem is you need to apply seismic loads in staad before analyzing

Till now I use Staad, RCDC and AutoCAD or Tekla+ AutoCAD to present those things in my final drawings. But since you suggested I will try using that too. Edit 1: I have tried using the building planner option but it doesn't work since I do not have autocad 2007

Make it in hindi, in english we alredy have so manny good forign tutorials

Thats true, but the language of the channel is English if I have more resources then I will make a new channel in Hindi. Also foreign tutorials are not focused on IS codes, so there is a need.

modelling in staad is not the best in the system at all. likewise its detailing where you cant have all the information for a beam at once. cantilever slab is also a problem

Every commercial software has its advantages and disadvantages, you have to pick the one which works best for you
