Captain! I bow before you! What a master piece you have created. In fact, I had never seen before a double seater harrier, never ever. Something that is really an act of self body dominion is the way you painted those tires on the landing gear. I really like your work.

@ugurkenel I have seen decal/vinyl det chords for the single seat harriers but not for the 2 seat trainer. I've used a phase hangar vinyl one on a Hawk in the past. Great work anyway. Keep it up.

Very nice build. Next time you want a very high gloss finish, try to sand entire model to a mirror finish, this will help on the final result and paint smoothness
@ugurkenel

Thank you. Yes i sanded it a lot of time with various polishing products, but i think, first, i need a good brand of varnish.

Very nice Ugur - interesting drying problem with the X22. I’ve just painted mine with MRP blacks - let’s see how X22 dries over those!
@ugurkenel

Problem was the paint under it. Hataka black didnt work well with X-22. I dont expect any problem with Mrp.
@lorenzcassidy3960

I avoid the X-22 thinner like the plague: that stuff NEVER dries up! I tend to use more Gunze Sangyo colors with their specific thinners, especially the Leveling Thinner for extra smoothness... works like a charm. But when I use Tamiya acrylics, I thin them with Tamiya Lacquer Thinner (Yellow cap) cut with 50% Leveling Thinner when a super smooth finish is required. Never tried it with the MRP range, though. Good luck!🤞😅
Gread work done here ! Just a little comment : X-22 is not to be used as a varnish but as a medium for « glossing » paints. To get an optimal surface aspect I would have used X-1 with AK Gauzy which is extremely great for glossy surface
@ugurkenel
7 ай бұрын
Thanks a lot. Yes i wont use X-22 on glossy models again. I have used Gauzy several times and I think its durability is low when polishing or sanding. Thatswhy i didnt use it. In short, it is not the varnish I am looking for. Vallejo Spray Gloss is best so far.
@lecastorsubversif5647

@@ugurkenel I totally agree with that, very low durability with polishing, it fits better for metallic colors that are already very flat and for maintaining the shine. Maybe you have also used Mr Color GX100 Super Clear, which seems well suited for polishing and very shiny but unfortunately stinks a bit
@ugurkenel
7 ай бұрын
@lecastorsubversif5647 Yes, i heard a lot about GX100, Everyone says it is the best varnish. I hope i will try oneday.

Is there a reason you use super glue instead of plastic cement or is it just personal preference? Really nice build
@ugurkenel
8 ай бұрын
I have limited time for my hobby in my private life, you know. This is very common for us ( modelers). So i make time by using Superglue, because it dry in minutes, or, i use it as putty, it dry in minutes and i can sand it very fast. Other modeling glues dries much longer.
Nice build but it’s a Royal Navy Harrier. Flew from RNAS YEOVILTON 👍🏻
