If Albatross is a youth bursting at the seams with a torrent of angst, pain, self-destruction and malaise, then Dealer is his older, more somber, more resigned and stoic brother, who has learned to live with that self-destruction and pain. Beautiful record.

I listened to the album out of curiosity and I actually enjoy it. I think Fantano just doesn't like ambient alt-indie.

glass coughs is so damn good and this whole album is beautiful.

I felt like the first listen I wasn't really feeling it, but I thought I'd give it a chance. After I smoked a bowl, put this on repeat, and played some video games, I couldn't stop listening even once I was straight again. It just kinda overwhelmed me.

Probably the best album that was released in 2015, and it went completely under the radar

Not gonna tell you how many times I've heard this record

This album is a masterpiece. Foxing is gonna blow up harder than The Frontbottoms did I can feel it.

it's probably unfair to compare Dealer to The Albatross because they're both entirely different in their own right, and both incredible, passionate and beautiful albums

i spent the last 45 minutes going thru their discography after hearing that song on a radio and not checking the title but having the melody stuck in my head for days

I have been waitng for this album all my life.

Winding Cloth is like my life rolled up in 4 minutes. Incredible

10/10 Fantano is just intimidated by the Emo revival because he can't grow a fringe.

front bottoms aren't apart of the emo revival, they came before and are largely different genre(s) Modern Baseball is ok, they're more pop punk than emo but they aren't the GREATEST band ever or groundbreaking or genre bending by any means Mom Jeans sucks I stand by the few bands that I listed, doesn't mean there aren't other good bands but none that are as GREAT as Algernon, Abacus and TWIABP (should've clarified that)

This is the LP that I love the most on the world.

The songs from this album individually sometimes seem boring, but if you treat the album as one long piece of concept art it's truly brilliant.

100% that, they're artists, these albums are a collection of their work, its meant to be viewed as a whole and is amazing

The vocal melodies in this record are top notch for real son.

Incredible album... so sad, yet so beautiful. Makes me feel things.

and the voice, sometimes, reminds me of the male voice from old stuff of belle&sebastian. Thanks for updating my musical horizon!!!

I only discovered Foxing recently and heard lots of stuff about this album not being as good as their first, so came here with pretty low expectations. But I think it's fantastic. Redwoods had me in tears.

This record is really great. Gonna see these on Wednesday at Walters. Didn't even know they had a new record out.

If you don't recognize the massive influence from bands such as Sigur Ros, Explosions in the Sky and Capsian in this album then you're doing yourself a massive disservice. This album is easily the closest album that has come out to being similar to an "American Sigur Ros". That in itself is a brilliant accomplishment. This album is slower than the Albatros but slow does not equate to boring. This album is beautiful.

Guys I literally do not understand why people talk so much shit on this album and make so many excuses for it, they are vastly more talented and better at their instruments on this album, especially the singer. How people not only don't recognize the superiority of this to The Albatross, but hate it so much, is beyond me. There is not one song on The Albatross better than any of the first 5 songs on this album.

Honestly, I'm not sure. I've only listened to this album. I'm not digging it to much. Or really disliking it. I'd just rather listen to Broken Social Scene, or Jeff Rosenstock right now for whatever reason. I'm sure I'll come back to it with a clearer head & dig it.

this isn't a 3/10, but it's still pretty boring. perhaps I'll like it more upon further listens. a shame really, the albatross left a really strong first impression on me the first time through while this sort of leaves me wondering "that's it?" it feels really safe. ah well, they're still one of my favorite bands and even if I don't love this album their live performances will most likely make up for any problems I have with it.

Hmm well this wasn't as good as the Albatross. A handful of the songs here don't really go anywhere, but it was still nice to hear some new stuff. My favorites were the first and last song. I don't know who Fantano is I guess I'd just be surprised he even knew who this band was to put on a list such as that. * edit * Well Night Channels, Glass Coughs and Eiffel are good too. I had to play it again and see how a second listen does. That's about it. Albatross overall is still better.

I can see what these guys are trying to do, but really this is pretty bland. Unwound and Trail Of Dead nailed this style, go listen to them if you want to hear the best the genre has to offer.

+Ty Hunt Both awesome. Fake Train is still my fave Unwound and the last three Trail Of Dead releases have been amazing after having been disappointing for a few years.

Turn off the AD pls, or do u own the license?

Indica is still one of the most intense pieces of music I have ever heard, and I don't even really like this band.

I like this album aside from Winding Cloth. That track is boring.

I love Foxing but the unlistenable several tracks of piano and noise, on par with Tim Kinsella's music, just no. Rid of those tracks and put out the great music you used to...
