Created in 1977, The World's Strongest Man™ has become the premier event in strength athletics. For over 30 years, the strongest men on the planet have come together in a series of unique and amazing tests of strength to determine The World's Strongest Man. I only wish we can see at least one more time a contest with fit Martins, Mateusz, Novikov and Tom, how it was supposed to be during this era.

@@bush_boi_bass_bone actually Martins basically only cares about the Rogue Invitational anymore. He said he's only got about four more heavy shows in him and due to prize money they might all be the Rogue. See recent Nick Cambi podcast.

Healthy, confident Mateusz is a terrifying force of nature. I keep saying, if he could stay healthy and sap some of that Eddie Hall level confidence in himself, he'd be a multiple time WSM winner. Even if he came 8th in the deadlift, he'd destroy every other event and win anyway.

Els got on with some super homophobic stuff towards Rob Kearney, so he pretty much got himself booted out of the sport, at least on the international level.

@@proboz Els was much better than Kearney, not a homophobe but don't understand why we're being slapped in the face with someone's sexual orientation when we watch for a strength competition. Kearney will never be top 5 unless it's a fluke.

@@dgaf292the fact that you're taking the side of someone who was a bigot towards him is exactly why Rob's sexuality matters, cause if it didn't he wouldn't be targeted for it in the first place and you wouldn't be 'both sides'-ing it.

Look at how much the competition has grown in 5 years. This was an embarrassing lineup compared to every heat in 2022.

Nah, brah, group 5 was friggin tailored to Luke Stoltman. The only guy at his level was Evan and that guy was friggin dying throughout the entire thing. This heat had Brian, Mateuzs and Johan Els, that’s like 20 WSM appearances in one heat.
