¿Fui o he ido? | The Past

Learn Spanish
When do we use “he ido” or “fui”? It’s a common question for learners.
Félix and Txell are having a conversation about the past. Can you hear the structures they use? Speaking about the past is one of the key skills students in our A2 classes learn in FreeDa. And it’s a very valuable skill; living in Barcelona means you will have a lot of stories to tell about your weekend adventures!
💥 The Pretérito Perfecto (Perfect Preterite) (he ido) is used for situations, when it isn’t important when they happened, for example,
“¿A Menorca has ido alguna vez?”
It can also be used to talk about something done in the past, with relation to a present time expression (today, this morning, this year, etc.),
“¿Qué has hecho este finde?”
💥The Pretérito Indefinido (Indefinite Preterite) (fui) Speaks about actions that are finished in the past only, for example:
“el sábado fuimos al centro.”
Txell and Félix will demonstrate some of these examples to you.
What about you? What did you do this weekend?

¿Cuando utilizamos “he ido” y cuando “fui”? Seguro que te lo has preguntado muchas veces.
Mira,
💥el Pretérito Perfecto (he ido) se utiliza para hablar de experiencias sin importar cuando ocurren, por ejemplo: ¿A Menorca has ido alguna vez?
Y acciones relacionadas con el presente, por ejemplo:
¿Qué has hecho este finde?
💥 el Pretérito Indefinido (fui) habla de experiencias terminadas en pasado, por ejemplo: el sábado fuimos al centro.
Txell y Félix te dan algunos ejemplos de su uso en este diálogo.
