I was there when this came out. At first listen, I found the song humorous. Then it HIT me. Imagining that this could be your mother, father, sister, brother, son or daughter out there, begging, a SLAVE to that FILTH, took the humor out of this song REAL QUICK. Heartbreaking. Which was Wyclef Jean's REAL intention.

This album will forever be the best thing that ever happened to me. The purity and passion can’t be matched.

Hate to say that it did me, too, but we were all teenagers when this came out so anything explicit was amusing. Now as an adult listening with opioid and fentanyl epidemics raging along, this song hits differently.
