@@edwinrios6945 With proper trip planning a driver should never run out of fuel. At Crete they have fuel solutions on load routes and theoretically the tank should never drop below 1/4. If a driver were to run out of fuel for some strange reason they’d call Crete and I would assume roadside assistance would be sent with some fuel. Hope that answers your question?

I’ve been driving trucks for years. And it never stops to amaze me. The guys who block the fuel islands. I wish fuel stations would do something. It’s so inconsiderate to others clocks.

Yep...it is so stupid to be there if you are not fueling the truck.

I was told that a Shaffer tractor hauling a Crete trailer or vice versa is called a "Sheet"... I sure enjoy your videos! Something to do in my retirement!

Back in the 80’s I was working for a food distributor out of suburban Chicago. We were running international Eagle COE’s and we had full service fuel cards . In the morning after sleeping in the truck stop ( Union 76 then ) I would pull up in the full service fuel line and they would fuel my truck clean my windshield and check my oil. While I was inside having breakfast inside the restaurant . I got paid to sleep in the truck and got a food allowance for breakfast and dinner. Was the golden days of trucking. Good pay and total freedom. You checked in every evening to a answering machine that you were doing ok .No GPS no computers no Cel phones . We had our C B radios You had to be Responsible for your truck and your loads plus read maps. I could not work in today’s toxic trucking environment.

The pyramid is the worlds largest Bass Pro Shop in the US. It also had the worlds largest free standing elevator in the center of it. You can ride it to the restaurant and observation deck. Great views from there

Hey Kevin, why don’t you guys use the app so that you can save time? You could’ve already had your truck and trip number programmed in you finally got to the pump. Also, just about 100% of the time when I confronted someone for leaving their truck at the fuel island, because they had to wait in line to get the pump turned on at the cashier. I don’t think people leave their trash at the island for the reasons we think.

I’m a couple weeks behind in watching, so my apologies on my late input Was at that Love’s this morning. Guess we had a hiccup because I wasn’t able to fuel this morning at 4:30am. So, I took an early nap while waiting for day staff. The other Trucking company in the area is CFI, my previous company and yes, they have mostly red Kenworth T680’s in their fleet. However, no where close to maintained as well as our Crete trucks.

Now all Crete drivers are courteous. Some of them wear flip flops.

They have signage recommending going to I40 to cross.

Guys?.. I’m new at Crete .. first few weeks. Idk if it’s just me?.. but seems like the Terminals I’ve been to don’t seem very friendly at all! The shop at Lenore City where awesome ! Got my Truck all fixed up.. but the office there and every terminal I’ve been to with the exception of Salt lake ( my home terminal) have seemed as if they don’t want to really speak to me at all! Really bumbs me out! 😏😏..

Sorry to hear that! We agree that drivers should be treated with warmth and consideration when they come to terminals. It’s our home away from home and we want to feel part of a community when we’re there! We haven’t often had anything to do with the ‘office people’ in a lot of terminals. They are busy doing their thing. We concentrate our socializing on other drivers. But even there we often initiate. We noticed a lot of truckers don’t say anything until we start talking to them. After that we usually have really nice interactions. So try that approach for a little good human contact at the terminals. Hope that helps! Welcome to Crete! Hope we get to meet soon! 😃

Love the KW! Sorry to hear Shaffer didn’t keep you moving. We think that’s a general reefer thing isn’t it? Higher cpm but less miles? Kevin is getting miles, but has to work with his asset manager to improve the use of HOS for some of them. Thanks for watching!!

Oh gross, Memphis!! I always avoid fueling in West Memphis, even if it’s my fuel stop (don’t tell my company, haha… well, they probably know). It’s just not worth the headache. Way too busy and takes an extra eternity with how so many drivers take 30s at the pump nowadays. That and I don’t feel particularly comfortable in the area. You’re right about the readers being defective lately, I’ve had a few drivers ask me about some new issue that popped up on their pump. I always pay through the Love’s Connect app which is mostly reliable even if the pump’s reader is defective. Safe travels! I’m on a load going from Springdale, AR to Macon, GA! It’s good run, do it a lot for Tyson. Thinking of coming to Crete next year, driving a Maroon truck though (Hunt flatbed), we’ll see!

MHC is a nationwide Kenworth dealer and service shop. They have locations around the country.

I drive a blue truck I drive for Crete I have had 3 red trucks and 4 blue trucks

At 8:40 you say they have Flying J, Pilot, TA, and Loves. Are there real differences you notice between the different truck stops? If you had to guess on any random night, which one fills up with trucks first and which fills up last? Do truckers tend to prefer one more than others?

How do you like your KW T-680

Took a 23 model t 680 with only 77 thousand miles on it yesterday to a fellow driver in Lexington both of the side covers were already gone. What happened to yours? I don’t know how they came off I wasn’t told.

Just curious. Do you know why the truck stops allow drivers to take their 30 in the fuel aisles. They are losing money. I know they don't make much on fuel. But the more they sell the more money they make.

How come you never talk to your fellow drivers, even your Crete guys, I've never seen you even do a wave, just seems weird

One has large screen. One includes dashcam. One is company ELD.

I really do not recognize this Love's. Was it expanded? I do not recognize it because I have chosen to never fuel up in dangerous gang infested and high crime areas. Crete says "be safe out there" but then tells you to risk your life in these areas. Every time I look at these truck stops from the Interstate going through this dump town, I think about why they are akways filled up. They are just rookie drivers who will learn the hard way soon or just trashy truckers who do not mind sleeping in this rotten area filled with lot lizards.

So does entering the card information one pump also include the other sides pump?
