I'm having that exact same problem with a NeoTec 372xp copy. It runs like a bear and then after a little while it'll just start to bog. It's tuned right and it runs great but after a few cuts it starts to do that. I'm gonna check that vent hose and also the outlet where it comes out of the case. Maybe there's a plastic casting hole that has some flash in it or something. It feels like it's starving for gas when it's bogging like that.

And the rips off of cedar (the long rip noodles or ribbons) is what I use to start fires. It’s like gasoline man.

Do you think maybe that when you had the hose hooked up to the front hole maybe it stretched too far and made the hose tighter and caused it to pinch down or maybe the other nipple could have caused the positioning of the hose to rub against the throttle butterfly perhaps why it was intermittent?

Is that XPW the 75cc 372? I don’t see many of them, I have one but it’s not a full wrap, and honestly it’s either worn out or I have a hotter 365 than stock but my 365 to crank, dang, it’s got plenty compression I’ll say that and the 372xpw a child could pull. It seems to run great, but the 365 just seems hotter for some reason.

Well this one sure has me scratching my head🤔 Have you tried switching the vent back to where it originally was to see if it acts up again? Seems strange that it ran good for such a long time like that🤷‍♂️

  • @tazman-kennyfuller

I think that the vent plugged and I changed it and I think I put the hose on the wrong outlet when I put it back together. It acted the same as being plugged. Yes i have since tried the other fitting and it goes right back to not running good. Thank you Andrew. 🌲❤🌲👊🪓

It is generally considered bad practice to cut with the nose of the bar. especially in that particular cross cut. If you set the dogs into the log not only will you have more power with a lever action into the wood, it will be much safer.

My g372xp is dying in the cut. I noticed that when I was carrying it with it running it would speed up at idle before it acted up i the cut. After contemplation I arrived at well maybe it is a fuel vent issue. So i watched this video. Lol, my fuel hose comes up through that hole and I don't have anything coming up through the hole your fuel hose comes through.

Hello and welcome Kraftzion. Thank you for your support. Your saw may have the different style vent and not have that hose. Sounds like it is leaning out if it idled up. Could be a goofy carb or an air leak as well. Not sure what carb you have but some of the after market carbs can be finicky and constantly need tuned. Hope this helps. 🌲❤️🌲👊🪓

@@tazman-kennyfuller Upon further research it has a supposedly porous brass plug pressed into the side of the gas tank. I removed the tank last night and drilled a tiny hole through the center of the plug with a wire bit. I made a a few long rip cuts with it today without an issue so hopefully that solved my problem.
