In this video i show you, how to replace the Fuel Pump on a 2005 Hyundai Accent LC. It may be similar to a Hyundai Getz too. In my case it had no malfunction, but some of you asked me by a comment to do this job. I hope the video is helpful for you.
You don´t need too much tools, but please be careful with the Hammer and the Screwdriver. It´s also necessary, to air out your car after that. So please leave doors or windows open for about 30 minutes.

Thanks for the question. You are right, i didn´t show how to remove them, because i don´t put them back. You can see that in my Fuel Filter Video.

I learnt my profession in a workshop so i know the situation. The $500 is a combination from parts, working hours, etc. I don´t know where you live, but here in Europe where i live, one hour costs more than 100 euro. I heard from workshops, where one hours costs more than 220 euro. I´m talking about only "1 hour". The fuel pump as an original part can cost also more than 100 euro, maybe 200 also. Then they calculate you also checking the error codes, disposal of parts, etc. I don´t think that this is fair, but they are working by this. On the other side the workshops have high expenditures. They must pay rent, electric power, heating, the workers. With an older car i would recommend you to look for a cheaper workshop and you could buy the parts by yourself. And at least you could try to repair your car by yourself, thats why i´m doing my videos, to assist you.

@@pannonicmechanicOh okay that is more understandable when you break it down. i an in the states, and they are telling my $1,000+ just to fix fuel pump. but this doesnt seem to difficult to do if all i have to do is replace the fuel pump. I drive a 2019 hyundai, so its not tht old. ill look into the owners manual and see if i can do it. i rly dont have the $ rn 😢 and i work using my car, so i gotta figure somethin out

@worscohli I´m happy that you understood my explanation. I would recommend you to look for a part by yourself, maybe aftermarket. You see in my video, that it´s not too complicated to replace. Your car will be different as mine, unfortunately i don´t know your car. You can check the owner´s manual, but it will be not helpful. They don´t write these informations there. You need a workshop manual. I wish you good success.
Useless video - it didn't tell me anything except how to remove and replace the whole unit as a whole, nut not how to remove the actual fuel pump motor itself and how to replace it. I already know how to do that. I need to know how to take the unit itself apart and replace just the pump motor.

Hi! Thanks for the suggestion. If you want and need this information, i can do it for you. Please tell me if yes and how much time you can give me for that.

@@pannonicmechanic - That's OK I didn't need that information for myself, it was for a friend of mine who lives next door that has a Hyundai Accent. But I found another video right after watching yours that actually explained how to remove and replace the fuel pump motor itself from that whole unit. After you know how it only takes about 10 minutes to quickly replace the motor itself. But thank you kindly sir for the reply back - But if you need it yourself for further information.... The video is titled "2003 Hyundai Accent fuel pump rebuild" posted by "Matt Shaughnessy". it's about 19 minutes long Any Once Again, Thanks for the reply back Sir.

@ProspectorsGhost Your welcome, thanks for the video. This is my second Accent and i had never problems with the fuel pump. I think i did the video, because someone asked me for that. The biggest problem is, to open the big plastic nut. The other thing is, i never thought about to dissassemble the fuel pump unit, because mine worked fine for over 19 years. In my opinion it´s a really reliable car.
