hi there, my captiva has an engine managent light on and wont start at all. Im suspecting a fuel filter fault as it has been struggling with power recently. will a blocked fuel filter prevent the car from starting all together?

Hi nice to see that cover over the venerable plastic filters. My Captiva doesn't have this so a rock could break the filter. Is this original?

The filter housing is metal. Only the filter is plastic.

What type of socket do you use for open the fuel filter housing cover?

turn key to accessories and pump accelerator pedal 3 times and that'll reset that for you.
