Cool trail crawl guys, as for the FTX Outback Fury, if you turn down the throttle trim you will get less punch but better breaking and reverse. Also the switch on the side of the gun is supposed to be a stearing selector, I haven't tried it yet but is supposed to improve your turning... Only had mine 3 days so far, and only had time to post the first run, but I love it 😁👍👍

Pete it is "The Trundle" and I was wrong it isnt Roman it's iron age but a hill fort nonetheless! Very scenic! Mike (crazy shirted crawler breaker)

@@mikewright84 ah right it looks a bit like some places around here (Dorset). My wife sometimes takes me to see forts and I'm expecting something with walls and buildings and when we get there it's just an outline on the ground if I'm lucky or maybe just a bumpy hill. I should know better than to raise my expectations! Anyway I bet those iron age guys never imagined that people in the future would bring little machines to crawl over their fort for a bit of a laugh 😂

Both the FTX seem too light-weight lower down and some shock tuning. I run my Outback with custom made wheel weights and the battery up front-and a chassis mounted servo and 540. The TRX seems scarily overpowered for a crawler, but is planted on the ground. Just my observations,I enjoyed the video and location. Reminded me a bit of the Fosse Way

Hi Sean, yes the TRX is a little overpowered but they are the fastest name in rc ;-). The Outback 2 has a full size battery mounted up front which helps it get over things, not sure what else it's had. With the Fury I've added some weight but it could probably use a little more. The biggest issue with the Fury is the turning circle, it's quite poor.

@@MPRCBBRR I don't have a Fury,if the steering is much the same as the Outback then the lock isn't great. I don't know if there any way ti increase it,I haven't looked that close at what could be done to improve it. Is the TRX better on that score?

@@seavee2000 Yeah, the TRX has a cracking turning circle. We'll have a look at improving the FTX turning circle at some point.

@@MPRCBBRR I had a look at my Outback, there are small travel stops moulded onto the steering arms. I trimmed mine off,and was able to up the end point travel on the steering by about 5%-not a lot but the CVDs limit max angle.Maybe the Fury is the same.

Yes, the fury has/had the same travel stops. I think some of the steering servos steering is getting lost is chassis flex, something I want to reduce if possible and practical.
