Got this car about a year ago, great fun!! Had the same problem - lost the charger recently! thought the ibex was doomed to stay on the shelf forever as looked on line and they don't sell separately. Emailed ftx last week and they said they may have one lying around from a defective car, come back from work today and they had sent me one through the post - absolutely free!!! Brilliant customer service ftx, thank you!!!!

LoL I thought about doing that, but didn't because I thought it might be a little mean. I am subbed to him RCSparks he puts out some awesome content , but Kevin Talbot has some EPIC bash content! I just really like watching the rebuilds after they break them I would have a lot of fun doing both running them and fixing them!

I'm 52 buddy, Bought my first crawler today and i just cant wait for the next...even going to sell a couple of decent drone's. There's some realy nice engineering gone into that little machine...i'm going to ask my local hobby shop to get me one. Another great review Kevin.👍

The best review I have see for this car , I have seen and other reviews for this car but this is the most complete good job. By the way you need speed in crawlers because there are some spots that need speed to cross them like in the real crawlers the same is with the rc crawlers. As always another very good video.

the battery issue on this is an easy fix take it apart and solder on new wires and connectors and use a nimh /lipo charger to charge it, jst plugs should do the trick on such a small car

I'm in America, so I have a devastator. I put rc4wd tires on it and I noticed it was faster in reverse. I reversed the throttle and performance was much better.

When you say the turnigy crawler from hobbyking , do you mean the basher rocksta? Cause we have 3 and they've been really good. They use a normal 2s lipo that can be easily removed, and the motors are much more powerful than the one in this. I've broken 1 set of gears, and that was from falling off the desk onto the floor on full throttle (which is quite a bit faster than on this by the looks of it). However I have heard of dodgy gearsets, which might have been your friends problem

Hey Kev - if you give me good photos of all labels of this charger and tell me if there is info about battery type inside this thing I can tell you how to make a cable for a regular RC bat charger :)

Another great indoor r/c is the Rage R/C R18MT 1/18 4x4 truck. This truck is brushed but still goes 15+ mph! Has aluminum silicone filled adjustable shocks. Great 4x4! Crawls over everything! Its built kind of like a mini slash... The only place I can find the FTX Ibex is on Ebay and they are all from the UK. I still cant find you on Ebay, kev's rc spares has no results in my searches. Oh well, at least I get all your KZread videos! Keep on bashing dude!

this is just rebrand of HBX 2098B they do sell the charger with some code number so you can buy it for this FTX
