Basically,it’s like a phantom feeling.We see males and think “wow,i wonder what it’s like to be him.actually,i wish i was like him.” The discomfort with expectations put on us is also a valuable factor in the experience of some ftm people. we are expected to be ‘proper’ women a lot of the time,and it’s not normalized to be trans.a lot of us feel miserable with our genitalia and characteristics that cause us to be gendered as ‘female’. we greatly envy people who were born in the right body. in an inexplainable manner,we feel like we are not comfortable with being identified as female,or we feel uncomfortable with the biological factors,or-both. for me,it’s both. we are listening to this subliminal in a desperate measure to have some things that cisgender men have,so we can pass as men. being misgendered is like being trapped in a box.we appreciate when people assume we are men. this is not the experience for all trans men,just my experience along with a lot of trans men i know. have a good day/night!
