I searched for FTL metal covers on a whim, hopeful that someone else realized just how bloody awesome the soundtrack is. I was not disappointed. Oh how am I so very not disappointed.

I played this side by side with the proper song. The timing you got is practically identical. Amazing...

R4V3-0N Afraid I do no planning whatsoever, this is all spontaneous stuff :) There are more cool tracks (like the Rockmen's theme) but... so many games, so little time :(

All in FL Studio as always. Guitar/Bass recorded through a PodXT. Processed lead guitar signal (further drenched in delay & reverb plugins), clean rhythm signal distorted by free plugins (TSE 808 & TSE X50 B3) and impulses (GuitarHack), both double tracked. Addictive Drums with the Metal AdPak and some free sample layering (kick & snare). Harmor for the blippy stuff and DSK Virtuoso for the barely audible strings near the end.

So very awesome, sir. Can't wait for more, as always.
