I like the test concepts used here. But this test is kinda hard to get information from. Your using two or three different chassis and in this situation ground clearance and wheel base length are important. Since you used many different chassis and wheels your not really getting any information. Unless and please let me know if this is true. Each of those wheels require those specific chassis configurations. In which case my previous statements are not valid and I apologize for that in advance.

You are absolutely correct. However, it is not as random as you think...We tested the STOCK GoBilda chassis/drive train because that is what a lot of teams are running. We also tested an a older chassis design that had ground clearance with BOTH the VEX mecanum wheels and the older GoBilda mecanum wheels. We could not mount the newer GoBilda wheels on this chassis because they are HEX SHAFT....not 6mm D-Shaft.

How did you modify the goBilda chassis to go over the barrier?

They put the wheel one hole forward

Or instead made the side channels 15 holes instead of 17

Actually the VEX and older GoBilda mecanum wheels were tested here on an older chassis we had that had ground clearance...but that was made with ActoBotics channel beams (not GoBilda). The ground clearance is created by the old style motor mounts bolted to the bottom of the beams.....We could not quickly test the NEWER GoBilda mecanum wheels since they are HEX SHAFT....not 6mm D-Shaft

Is it possible for the new gobilda wheels to get over at all if so how?
