    Notes for you and any potential watchers wanting to learn the ERJ: 1:55 - Flight schedule isn't new. It was there in your 3 month review but for whatever reason SimBrief import failed. 2:25 - You do not need to use MSFS W&B with SimBrief import, because SimBrief import will import your Pax and Cargo which you can load at the bottom in real time or instantly. 4:13 - I had reported this to them too. It sits in the on position because IRL you let the FADEC boot for a second (wait to see numbers next to APU on the EICAS), then you turn it on. Not sure why they decided to hardcode it via animation though. 8:24 - The TO/Ldg fuel is your fuel used to taxi out for takeoff and taxi in for landing. I get how it can be confusing though. Not sure why the virtual FO types it in wrong either. 19:31 - Manifest has your elevator trim setting that you set. 24:08 - Correct, that message is erroneous. 24:30 - I also reported this, should roll easily especially at light weights on flat ground. 27:50 - The brake temps were in fact, not good. If you look at the FO MFD, all those yellow boxes are brake temps. There is some bug that's been around a while where brake temps just get insanely hot for no reason. There is a brake temp reset toggle in the EFB. 28:30 - I've reported the very light nature of the takeoff roll as well. It does not try to take itself off IRL. 39:02 - You can just hit PREV to bring up the course needles in blue and set it that way instead of doing all that FMA switching. 42:19 - You want to drop the direct to on 1L LSK, but yea currently limited to the MSFS system that doesn't allow direct to in arrivals and approaches. I think the custom FMS and custom LNAV is far more important than having VNAV right now. It's the biggest sore thumb. 44:35 - It's not that accurate to real world. But it is FLCH so it is just going idle and trying to keep your speed with pitch, so technically within MSFS it is accurate. Once VNAV is in and we have powered descents, it'll perform a lot more like real world I'm sure. 46:47 - LIM will show IRL when your thrust is at idle and speed bugged is slower still, or thrust is max and speed bugged is higher. IRL it doesn't stay on very long. The real plane is kinda dumb too for how advanced it is, and doesn't realize it's fine. 54:18 - We do not use Flap 4 for landing. 4 and 5 are the same configuration, but 4 tells the plane it's taking off. 5 tells it it's landing. We use 1,2, 4 for TO. 5 and Full for landing. So when setting flaps for landing we skip 4 if we are landing 5, and we skip 4 and 5 if setting Full. 55:08 - You did turn off the FD entirely. The FPA will always show. Though that ALT should have cleared as well. 57:25 - I dunno' how much you braked manually but yeah the plane slowed down way too fast for Flap Full and Lo Autobrakes. 57:50 - The ground spoilers auto deploy so I'm sure it's just another bug with the logic. Speedbrakes will stow themselves and show that message (if lever is still out) when speed is under 180, flaps are above 1, or when advancing throttles past 70 degrees TLA. I think now any time they auto deploy, and the lever is in, it's showing at message, which is technically not wrong, but doesn't happen IRL. 1:02:20 - I don't think STEER OFF is properly implemented. The switch behind the yoke doesn't work, nor does pushing the tiller down. 1:02:25 - You shut down the engine people normally shut down for single engine taxi. You can shut down 1 as well if you want, but you'd need to make sure the Hyd Pump 1 goes On instead of Auto because otherwise you lose Outboard Brakes and Nose Wheel Steering. Eng 1 on will power Pump 1 and auto turn on 2. Eng 2 on will power Pump 2 but not auto turn on 1 IIRC. 1:06:46 - I HIGHLY recommend NOT doing this.

SPDe speed on elevator, when you say its not accurate to real world, do you mean aircraft will limit the descent if you push FLCH for descent?

    SPDe is accurate. The modes are doing what they are supposed to. FLCH will respect your speed the most, so if it's set for 290 and it needs to pitch that far to get it, it is what it is. IRL we just use VNAV and itll be powered, therefore not as steep. @@franckcagnes6370

    You're technically right that Embraer uses E-Jet and ERJ separately. My company we just call everything ERJ. Cause they are Embraer Regional Jets at the end of the day. Yes I am a 175 pilot. I attribute it to him being european more than anything else lol @@BobC250

    Impressive review! Some few corrections, they do have the fuel management system directly through EFB, just at the very bottom of the EFB departure page, you can choose real or instant. And the take off fuel and landing fuel in the MCDU PERF INIT page means the fuel requested for the taxing during T/O and landing, not the FOB.

    Good to see they’re making slow progress. When this project was announced, I was excited to fly JetBlue’s E190 routes. Unfortunately, by the time this project is finished JB will have swapped all of its E190’s for beautiful new A220’s.

    If you have too much drag in FLCH mode while descending, you can use FPA mode and set it on 3 deg path. It looks much better in this aircraft. So, of course it's handicapped because there is still not VNAV implemented. Thanks for review. I'm waiting for improvement of E-Jets.

    This plane has been on my “watch” list for quite awhile. Still havent purchased it though as I was waiting to see how much it would be improved over time. I have the crj 550/700, and honestly havent spent any time in them as I have so many aircraft options. This plane may end up in the hanger though

    Excellent my dear, I also have this version and the work that the FSS has been doing seems promising. Tomorrow a new update will come out and they said that the E190/A195 version will come out by the end of the year, which is a shame, because so far we don't have VNAV and there are still a lot of details missing, but we'll follow it, hopefully in more In about 2 years we will have a decent Embraer for the MSFS.

    Are they releasing E195? Well, in that case I become even more interested in this addon. Though I agree that they should first have a good addon on the E175 before launching a new one. At least they are showing they care about improving their product.

    I mean, its already a very good addon just not up there with the two giants that are PMDG and Fenix, Its great none the less, needs VNAV like you mentioned but that will come with time, at least they haven't been giving us "fake" promises, and have consistently been releasing update after update proving they want the aircraft to be the best it is. It'll be a great aircraft in no time.

    @@Kevvin447 PMDG has done a great job, but their aircraft could be a little bit more complete: no circuit breakers, no secondary FLP (though I don't if that a boeing feature), and probably a few more things are missing apart from the EFB that we already got (not something necessary for flying) But it works very smooth, much better optimization than Fenix, and what it does, it does it very well

    Great and very thorough video guide, thanks! Some really nice features here but it’s a real shame about the lack of vnav and direct waypoints. Hopefully they’ll keep working on it.

    It really is a shame. They released *so* early, this thing is now 9 months into its lifespan and still not even up to what I'd call a first beta. FSS clearly have no idea of what challenge they're facing.

    Regarding the 737 why haven’t they added that audio when auto spoilers is engaged? Or does the spoilers self stow away when after reverse thrust you add little thrust to reset system/actuators?

    Just picked this plane up. Although Idont know why, as I have way too many aircraft right now to learn. I spend most of my time in the fenix a320, pmdg 737-800, and the new tbm 850. After that I have about 25-30 other planes that rarely see the light of day. Maybe its a sickness 😂

    I've just bought it. Mu 1st flight had a bug that the aircraft was constantly bouncing in the cockpit camera, not the outside camera. Now I feel dizzy. Then I've tried to take off in another airport but this time it seem to be fine

    Thanks for the video! It is still a long way to go for this plane, I am holding off until it is in better shape, at least vnav present. Good that there is progress, hopefully in another 6 months? I would like to ask for one small thing - when you test various EFBs could you check if there is a working onscreen keyboard? This is essential for all us VR simmers 😊.

    How did you configure your Honeycomb Bravo to apply reverse thrust? The Aerosoft 1-minute tutorial is a bit weird and requires weird manipulation of the throttle. I could not find any decent configuration tutorials in KZread for the FSS 17x/19x with the HC Bravo or TCA Thrusmaster. Thanks

    I honestly didn't, I'm using keyboard keys to apply reverse. Doing that on all planes my planes as I wan as much range of throttle movement as possible on my joystick hardware.

    A few days ago, I flew the E170 and the ATC asked me to make a different approach than the plan already drawn, I think because the wind had changed a lot. I managed to make the change in the MCDU but the plane I don't know what happened, it activated heading from the LOC and I couldn't activate the FMS heading, the final approach was ILS, and for some reason, no matter how hard I tried to get the GS to connect, it never Let me see this flight... Best regards!!!

    Have you tried the XCrafts version in XPlane 12? It’s much farther along and actually getting very good. I have this version too and can’t wait to see where it goes.

    funny that the xcraft version on x12 have issues that fss doesnt have, hydraulics pressurizing by themselves small details like emergency lights on not triggering the master caution and its sad vnav is still not complete (fmc speed) while they said it should be out for summer 2k23 for an addon that cost that much

    I’m not sure what you’re flying but maybe you should consider updating. It’s been really solid since the last update. In my opinion the FSS version is well behind.

    @@briand9446It seems like the FSS and XCrafts EJets both have their issues. The FSS jets have very good sounds, textures, modeling, and handling, but terrible systems implementations. The XCrafts versions sort of do the opposite (I know both share the same model) where the systems seem to be decently simulated, but the sounds and texturing are quite poor. The XCrafts handling is also a bit questionable considering how much elevator authority it has at low speeds.

    @@robbyyant6213There are good things about both and I think FSS has come along way but the horribly slow progress on the VNAV decent while they make a ton of progress on things that do not matter a bit to the operation of the plane is my biggest bitch. That being said I flew it yesterday and it was a much better experience than the last time. The aggressive pitching of the autopilot is much better.

    I mostly take a full day of my off days which I use to record videos, like six or seven of them, which I then release in the aftermath succesively. Sometimes I'm lucky and catch a release "live", like the MD11 just now, other times I'll cover it in the time after the flight.

    I'm using the honeycomb bravo throttle quadrant and my reverse thrust doesn't work with the e-jets or the fenix a320

    For the fenix it needs to be calibrated inside the MCDU and a separate honeycomb mapping needs to be built inside the sim. KZread has a vid on it.

    Hey Amono, I wanted to first of all thank you for your videos. They’re great and I watch all your videos on commercial jets as they’re so helpful to a 30-year simmer, with no real-world commercial piloting experience. However, a very close friend of mine is an A330 Captain, so I do get plenty of advice (good and bad) from him. I hope you don’t mind but I have a question re this EJET series for MSFS, and it’s the reason I’ve not purchased it: I’ve got poor eyesight so aircraft like the Airbus and Boeing are great due to the heading/Alt/VS/Speed etc all display next to the rotator knob on the glare shield. However, in aircraft like ATR/CRJ/HJET/VJET it’s a struggle but I’ve gotten around the problem by allocating ALT/SPEED/VS/HEADING bug using standard MSFS button assignment to my Thruster Master Stick. The Aerosoft CRJ is a bit of pain because that aircraft won’t take standard MSFS 2020 assignments, so I use pre-created SPADNEXT profiles to a Logitech Multi panel. I therefore watched your EJET video with some excitement last night because there is no SPADNEXT profile available for this aircraft. You talked about being able to adjust Speed/Heading/ALT/VS by clicking on the restrictive ribbon on the PFD, is that correct? And (last question I promise)- do you know if standard MSFS 2020 button assignments work with the EJET?

    Hi, you headed correct, you can change the different bugs by clicking on them right on the instrument. Not sure about standard MSFS assignments, best to ask the devs directly about that one.

    Apparently they are releasing the E190/195 in the next 2 weeks. Those who already have the E170/175 will get it as a free update. People buy it from scratch will see the price will increase.

    Yea. Still not buying it. Because I fly airliners on vatsim 100 percent of the time. I made a mistake with the aerosoft crj series. They're not that great either. And full of bugs. Actually had a ctd a few times. No other aircraft has ever given me a ctd

    @@ezkampf They're making the 190/195 because it's 90% the same exact plane but with a longer body, different engine variant and of course as a result different flight model. Their work towards the 170/175 goes towards the 190/195 as well. You think the 3D modeler is going to code the VNAV??
