We pull the drum then heat the inside from the shaft side with a propane Torch, only for a few seconds and press the bearing out in a press from the engine side, I think we use a 3/4 deep well and it pops out easy. To reinstall bearing which is a 6201-2RS Bearing, we use PNG bearings. use a Dremel to sand down the lip that forms from pressing old bearing out, then apply a small amount of Grease in the housing from the shaft side and press bearing back in very slowly in a press. If I'm not mistaken we use a deep well 5/8 to press replacement bearing back in. Just go very slow and don't press too far in or you'll push it back out the other side. Made that mistake before in trash the housing but if you go slow and listen to the bearing slide down you can almost fill it in the Press when it bottoms out. Make sure it is going in straight and when you first put the bearing in use the 5/8 impact and a small Hammer to lightly get it started. Reinstall drum and put rubber grommet piece back in and put together. This is a lot cheaper but requires a little bit more time not much more because the bearing is only 4 or $5. We several 91r, 94r and 131r with success. Still has a known bearing failure issue for the past couple of years. The old bearing has China snapped right on the bearing. I don't post too many videos but I will see if I can post one of the process.

I managed to replace the bearing in my km94 it's the same molded in bearing 🤬🤷‍♂️ I cut around the outside edge replaced the bearing and melted it back in place with a heated up socket. Worked a treat.

G’day Richard, great video as usual. I have a question regarding the clutches on Stihl Pole saws. Why do they appear to go loose, not engage, after only a short time? I have Husky at home, never had an issue, but the one’s at work are constantly needing clutch replacement…

Check the drive ends and see if there is any wear. I've seen the square drive spin in the plastic spline drive. Pole saws are a pretty complicated piece of equipment. Keep it simple and see if that helps.
