What an absolutely fantastic Flight Yoke System, that elevates playing MSFS on the Xbox consoles to a whole new level!
Hopefully the Sensitivities not saving issue, will be patched in soon - but high credit has to go to Turtle Beach for making such an amazingly high quality Yoke System.

@Huddison I'm thrilled to hear that you like your new VelocityOne Flight! Tomorrow, when the product is officially released, there will be more content coming out on our Turtle Beach Simulation channel, including a home-made how-to / Getting Started guide. I tested out the sensitivity issue you were having on my V1F and mine does save the sensitivities. I did this by creating an additional profile under the VelocityOne Flight device in Options > Control Options. Please let me know if I can do anything to help with this. Thanks again for the content, it made me smile, looks like you're getting a lot of enjoyment out of it already. James_TBS

@Huddison Hi, I've just tried to customise my sensitivity settings, and they seem to be working fine on mine. Have you double checked you hit apply & save when you edited them? I've set custom on all 3 axes, used it, then closed and reopened flight sim, still had them saved to my custom profile. I then restarted my computer to check, opened MSFS and all are still there and usable. I did it by creating an additional profile under the VelocityOne yoke device in Options > Control Options. It's mentioned in the Getting Started video out tomorrow, but I'll put out a specific one if a lot of people are encountering the same issue. Please let me know if there's anything else I can do to help.

Another excellent video. You’re really tempting me to use the credit card again……lack of sensitivity saving aside. Asobo or MS confirmed to me on Twitter that they were working on the fix for the HOTAS One and that it would be released in an “upcoming update”. Im guessing it’s the same problem and not necessarily about a specific peripheral. Talking to peeps on Reddit, some were able to save their sensitivities for the HOTAS One and it would persist past restart. I’m guessing this is why they haven’t patched it yet, it must work for them.
@Huddison

I've also heard that people are able to save their sensitivities - it's never quite clear whether they are talking about Xbox or PC MSFS (PC seems to consistently save).

@@Huddison the fella I was speaking with said he was on Xbox. I had asked him to tell me the firmware rev on his HOTAS, mine is the latest as of feb (I think it was feb) 19, he didn’t have a pc to check though. My idea was to see whether it’s a FW issue. The fact this turtle beach yoke has the same issue points more at the sim software itself.
You sound a lot like Techmoan! Interesting looking yoke, do like some of the features like the throttle prop and mixture controls, trim dial and 4 full throttles. Don't know if id consider it an upgrade for my x56 but maybe it could be something to use for certain aircraft that have controls more like this than the fighter stick style. Shame though the warning lights and display are totally redundant for myself as i do all my flying in VR these days because once you go vr, going back to pancake mode is never going to happen! Really great review, liked and subbed. Think i will probably end up getting one, as for the issues with settings in console, this is one reason pc is still king, along with having to power to really push the visuals even though the fact that the current gen does do a marvelous job, especially when you look at performance per $, i don't even want to add up the total cost (im not joking, it really is stupid money) of my top tier system ive pieced together over the last 6 months, mostly because i wanted better performance in fs2020 and DCS, especially in VR, I dont really use my pc for anything else aside from some IL2 BOS.

Fantastic and interesting comments. I was an early adopter of VR, but I actually prefer flying in MSFS on a flat screen; it's a preference thing for certain. On a side note: Cyberpunk would no doubt look amazing on your Rig ;)
Amazing
I can't promise I won't go on mine when I finish work at 1am the wife is at a wedding so just me and the new toy staring at me...
Another nice setup, I’m jealous lol. Looks like I need to save all my pennies for a year or two or try to sell my hotas one. Now I’m off to fly in the London area because I’m tired of flying in my home area. I also can’t believe that the sensitivity still won’t save. I worked for Microsoft game studios back around 2007 as a game tester as I could still work back then, though already disabled. I did mainly fps games, they had their own team at their headquarters here in the Seattle area working on the old msfs, it seems asobo which is one of their studios located in France are less capable.

There's for sure some work to be done on improving current MSFS, seems the norm today that us users are doing the beta testing :( It is still a marvelous sim, ill never forget that first flight in vr, was just so amazing. I spend at least a couple of hours a day flying somewhere, mostly local areas here Down Under, really looking forward to the next world update. The Reno expansion was really a disappointment, not much value there, the aircraft are ok but lacking in the control option department and as for the stupid lap counter that blocks your cockpit view (and cant be easily moved in vr) is really crap indeed.

Thanks for this first look Huddison. i was very interested in this yoke/throttle unit when it was first announced and looked forward to reviews. There is a good chance that this will replace my thrustmaster Warthog throttle and possibly my VKB Gladiator joystick (may keep that for Elite Dangerous). sensivity will be saved on a personal configuration (PC)

I believe there is default sensitivity, in the default profiles on PC.

@@Huddison for sure there is but u sayd you cant store it...so if you do a personal setting ( copy the default but do a new name) the sensivity will be stored
I got mine today and PC will not recognize it in PC mode. The app cant find it either.

I'll have to do some testing.
Any way to hook up rudder pedals?

Not to the System itself; but you could attach your Hotas One to the Xbox and Rudders to them and then use them.

Cool, thanks,
What’s the max thickness of the table it will clamp to?
@Huddison

Good Question - the clamps extend pretty far, so you should be covered, unless you have an extraordinarily thick table.

@@mfg19er I've just measured the clamps on my own at max extension - 6.5 cm. However, the supplied micro suction vacuum tape works very well, having tested it myself. Alternatively it comes with screws and pre-threaded holes for attaching to a rig or plate. Hope that helps and you can find a a solution that works for you.
Does anyone know if this is compatible with x plane 11?

I'll get to that when I do PC testing.
Can you tight the throttles?

Not without somewhat modifying them.
Just to make sure: did you follow the steps outlined here: kzread.info/dash/bejne/pJuMvNavebG4p6w.html They install an App that sets it up on XBox. You don’t mention that in the video, but it might solve the sensitivity set problem you got.

Keep persisting, you'll get one eventually.
So…another rip-off from a sim manufacturer. First it was Honeycomb. Great sounding product. Unfortunately only a few reviewers actually got any. By the time it was available it was only PC compatible. WAIT for a revised unit. Whenever… Enter Turtle Beach. Why not do more of the same. Give it to reviewers for free of course. Get glowing reports. Pre-order it and make sure it goes to eBayer’s who can price gouge. Too bad there’s not any ethics left. Shameful.
