FS Thunderbolt 1000T (malfunctioning) | Louisville, Ky (6/11/24) [read desc]
…so sorry for the phone recording! My GoPro was not working!
So today… what would be my 15th siren catch was a disappointment and a bit sad, I had seen videos and the siren sounded awesome, super low tone.
The blower and rotator clearly were not working and it’s not known when it broke.
The last recording of it running (that I could find) was from @Creeperfan12 about 6 months ago.
I do not know what will be the fate of this siren but if I find out anything I will keep updated.

This always saddens me. I LOVE the Thunderbolt, but so many are neglected.
I could be wrong but listening with headphones on the blower is running but very slowly as when it shuts off, you can hear it stop kinda
noted. sad to see it broke
This siren may be fixed this summer by MetroSafe. By the way I was there too.

Oh were yall the car behind us? Also good to know it’s planned to repair, where did you find that out?
Not broken, I would imagine its a case of the agastat has gone bad and this is the result, if replaced it should work unless it needs any other work, but only issue is the agastat
I also could be mistaken, but I believe this bolt was across the street next to a factory before its demolition for the basin. I got into sirens about 2 years ago so I’m still learning the lore on all the sirens

Used to be a different unit by Logan street garage. Louisville is notorious for playing musical chairs with heads and blowers.

@@TheSleepyMechanic0524yes, I checked google maps and saw that this one was put up before the other was taken down. I’ve heard of some that have gotten swapped, thanks for info
Relay failed
Wouldn’t call this sick. Just not completely functional. Chopper sounds great.
