Frums - Credits EX: Original animation in command line
Ойындар
Entire video is a single take and runs entirely in a Python command line on Windows 10. Animation designed and programmed by me.
Thank you Frums. Your music is truly a blessing.

I think sometimes about how technology rots, as new technology comes along to replace it, and gradually forgets about what came before it. this animation feels like it's playing on that theme, and yeah as folks have mentioned it's just such a beautiful interpretation of the track

oh, that's a thing called ansi escape codes. using the code "\033[y;xH", you can set the position of the cursor in the command line to line y and column x - which means i can overwrite specific blocks of text on screen as if they were pixels. my rendering engine uses this in a very optimised way to smoothly render each frame see this gist: gist.github.com/fnky/458719343aabd01cfb17a3a4f7296797

I heavily imply a a catastrophe here but yeah that is an interesting idea for an alternative story. for this, it is essentially an autonomous terminal of some kind trying to connect to the service after some sort of calamity. the music itself is heavily open-ended so it's not surprising multiple interpretations exist
