I love Andrew's sense of humour here, and your interactions really made me laugh, and I love that he would even attempt socks in such an early phase of his knitting, that's brave. What a character he had, full of warmth and charm.

The beautiful Welsh bedspreads and bags. As your interviewee states. "Quality always sells". And it seems quality is also returned because quality lasts! Thank you so much for the beauty, knowledge, interest and engagement you have offered to so many thousands of people. And offered with such warmth.

I hope you find my comments. You and I have many parallels . To begin with I studied voice in college. I majored in voice and minored I several things . Piano organ and trumpet. after a year I switched from education to sacred music. Which is where I belonged. I am from Ohio and I studied at Youngstown State University - Dana School of Music. I am a lyric soprano. Later on after college I had to audition for the Detroit opera and Grand Rapids Michigan Opera. This my point . I sang Sying . .weeping sorrow want. By J S Bach. This is a wonderful trio featuring Oboe, Voice And Piano. It is very dissonant. The voice sings sying and the oboe played the same line. The whole tune absolutely sounds like sobbing. It is very beautiful. It just occurred to me it would be a tune you could sing for Andrew's funeral. I hope You have the opportunity to listen to it. It is perfect for the occasion. Bach could write music like no other. I am very sorry for your loss. We have one more parallel. 8 years my husband Norm suddenly came down with 2 brain tumors. He went into intensive care the first of April and passed away on July 12th. I was there every minute with him. He was the love of my life . We were only together for 31 years. I truly feel the way you do. I do understand your grief. Does CB it get better no it doesn't the minute I begin to think about him it starts all over again. The Bach tune. It may help. As a lifelong knitter and weaver for about 45 years, I really enjoyed this episode. And, I love knitting socks, as they are the ultimate portable project. I only knit two at time, on two circular needles, and start at the toe. Beyond everything else, sending healing and healthy vibes your way Andrew.

I love watching these older videos of you two together. Andrea, your song was sublime. I'm very impressesed with Andrew's sweater.

"That's two things I have to do for every one you do." I love your sense of humour Andrew! I tried TAAT socks, but found the change between socks fiddly with yarn management. I bought a second needle so now I knit two socks at a time but on their own needle. I do several rounds on one sock, then switch to the other sock. Much less fiddly for me and no second-sock syndrome.

I just tied on a new warp to an old warp and was a little frustrated that it was 440 knots...I was astounded by 2000 but it is a blessing to not have to worry about threading errors once you get it set up right so it's worth it! I really enjoy the banter between you two...thanks for doing the podcast!

It’s like making new friends!!! I love your projects inside and out! I think if you learn techniques from the same person you are creating a project with blends perfectly. Just found you and can’t wait to catch up. I learned to knit/crochet from my Grandmother when I was 5-6, I’m now almost 60. A lot happened in between; a stroke and now arthritis:(. I’m slow but truly love to create. Thank you both for sharing your gifts!!!

I am loving these podcasts! I started with your Christmas one (#33?) or close to that and have now decided to watch them in sequence. Its is February 2018 in Ontario Canada, and we live in a smaller town with tons of snow so this makes perfect winter watching for me. Bravo Andrew! Everyone should know how to knit! Andrea, I will look at your tutorial videos because as much as i love to knit (i knit socks and mitts and hats and always shawls) some patterns look intimidating. Thank you for encouraging us to try them.

Love your podcasts so much; just found you...both my husband and I are musicians --(he on the Jazz scene and I have a degree in piano pedagogy --classical) so, loving the music choices--amazing rendition of that Bach !-- and I have been knitting for some 66 years--learned at my Grand-mere's knee; but never very fancy stuff--cables are my love...thank you so much for your wonderful interviews and interesting tips and techniques...Julierose

Love your podcast and especially the History and country side photos around the Welsh Woolen Mills, my Nana was a Buckland Massachusetts weaver in the early 1940 and 50s and had a small business where she made skirts and handbags and knitting bags etc . I still have them they are very precious memories I use to sit by one of her larger weaving looms and play I still remember the rhythmic sounds of her shuttle and petals as her hands and feet did the weavers dance. You are now my favorite podcast. The music is beautiful (and a refreshing change)! As a former music major and pianist, I love hearing the Bach prelude in c minor which is one I love to play. I've just discovered your podcasts and look forward to watching more of them while I knit. They are inspiring me to venture beyond the socks I'm making for my family this Christmas! Your sweaters (or jumpers as you call them) are stunning! I love to knit but have been discouraged by the mistakes I've made in the past, such as using itchy yarns and making my own version of a bright blue acrylic Cookie Monster sweater, size XL, for my slim husband. (Sigh) So your tips on yarns and sizing, good patterns and designers, and how to do alterations are helpful to me. I also enjoyed your Welsh song and the way you and Andrew interact during the video.

There was a shop like that in my home town of Warburton, in the Upper Yarra Ranges. I really love Bright too it is probably my favorite town in all Victoria. I had a little chuckle with you over the Kath and Kim reference, they are hysterical. I am rapidly adding to my list of must knits, your taste is lovely Andrea and I think I will have to knit one of each of the jumpers you have worn so far, they are all really lovely. About "extreme knitting": I'm installing new software on a computer (very often, because that's one of the things I do for a living), and it always takes a few minutes (or even more). So I knit - push buttons - knit - move the mouse - knit - push buttons .... :) I teach kids, and whenever I have a few moments of silence, guess what? I'm knitting.

Andrew, I love your purls and knits in the same gauge! That's really an accomplishment for a new knitter. Your pride in your work is very cute. Keep up the good work! I really enjoy this podcast.

Just discovered your podcast through Renee which you featured in episode 9. And I really love to watch this. I love your enthusiasm and your makes. So nice to see that the whole family is in some way into knitting! I am quite a knitting addict as well. And I recognize the part of knitting in the train even when it's just a short journey.
