"Come my darling homeward bound" immediately followed by "I am found" does things to me for certain. And of course the part about "where the northwind meets the sea". Chills. ❄ I'm gradually learning the lullaby song more and more because of "Show Yourself". I used to think it (the lullaby) was one of the harder songs to learn, but today I finally told myself, "You have half of it already". I was memorizing it from the bits of it that are in the "Show Yourself" videos, and not really even noticing. Good. I like that. ^___^

Honestly, I have absolutely no idea why Disney marketed into the unknown as the new “let it go”. It just did not have that same power or emotion that let it go did. This movie will never be better than the first one, but this song does matches let it go, and possibly surpasses it. I vividly remember when they released these songs a few days before the movie, and me listening to this one over and over again. This is the new let it go.

Me too especially while I m in the journey of healing from emotional abuse and not given the opportunity to grow in to my own person. I hope one day I can feel the feeling Elsa did in the movie. Y'know, I hadn't really listened to the lyrics of this song until now and it made me cry. "I have always been a fortress, cold secrets deep inside, you have secrets too, but you don't have to hide." that got me. For a long time I've held my personality away from people because of the many times, beginning in Kindergarten, I had been judged for being "too much" and it got to a point that I forgot who I was and now I'm slowly finding out who I am. This song hit really hard because of that. "Show yourself, I'm dying to meet you." I can't even get through this daggone comment lol. But to anyone reading this, don't let other people make you feel like you need to hide because you don't need to, they just need time to adjust their eyes to the light. Show your beautiful self.
