Wizard Eye is still my go-to choice of Soothsayer spell for non-Soothsayer wizards. Especially on a Sigilist with Write Scroll and Strike Dead. Wizard Eye becomes a stationary death laser.

I like Wizard Eye as an out-of-school pick because of it's low Casting Number and the flexibility it offers. I'm curious how well Strike Dead has worked for you? Since the target can Empower their Will Save, it has always seemed unreliable...but I suppose it can still do some damage in those cases.

I would mostly agree with you. Wizard eye can be better with some wizard combos, like you said, for spaming LOS spells. But mind control is useful for all wizards. Wizard eye tends to be less useful for me, as I like to play support wizards, and mostly buff up my soldier, so they can do all of the face smashing.

I enjoy the support/power-up strategy as well. It’s fun to play and to play against - I hate getting one shotted by a spell, but don’t seem to mind it as much if it happens in hand-to-hand combat. Maybe because there’s more of a risk involved with the potential of either figure winning.

You just can't beat mind control.

Nothing scares me more in Frostgrave than realizing my opponent knows Mind Control and has access to healing.

mind control sucks. and its why i have dispel and a scroll of dispel always on my wizard's person :)

Dispel is definitely the bane of a Mind Control strategy.

Mind control has destroyed my plan several times.

I think it was a game against you when I realized the power of that spell… and felt kind of bad for using it.

Ya mind control is a GREAT spell especially when you have a barbarian body guard and they roll a 20 against the wizard or apprentice!!!! Ya that just HURTS!!!!!
