For Pre Fatalis you can even use the Regular Velkhana Set, Frost Craft is that strong.

@@dragon501000 depends if you have decos to use, set A provides a fixed skill but less deco slot while set B has maybe a level less but a better deco slot. materials and defense are the same so just use what you think suits your playstyle

for the pre fatalis build: you have to grind the decos still (could be a pain)

been running FC SnS for a couple weeks now and having a blast using a Safi weapon w/ Velk awakening for extra build versatility

Blast or Elemental? I feel like it's a waste to not use elemental on FC, but everyone seems to suggest blast sns for this

Stuck primarily with SnS and Horn for my ReturnToWorld playthrough and I managed to get AT Velk armor before even taking down Alatreon and Fatalis and it turned the hunts into relatively painless first run clears. Frostcraft Perfect Rush just does insane damage for the mobility you get and you can easily recover most of your health with one or two rushes thanks to the AT Velk gloves.

@@beasthaven1571 Recovery up. Basically giving you 30% more healing. Stacks with health augment. A single hit from perfect rush can sometimes give you like almost half of your HP back.

I'm just over 300 hours in now, Insect Glaive kinda became my main after using a bit of everything.. Would highly recommend It, especially if you're on PC and can get some QoL mods.

What's the gear progression of Guiding lands? Since there have been so many patches I don't know what to farm or how to improve to feel stronger. I did Zinogre and it feels super hard.

3 pieces Teostra + Garuga greaves B+ is pretty much best early early post game build for most melee weapons.

3 Piece Teostra + 2 Raging Brachy is best for Raw DPS early on. Chest/Coil Golden Rathian + 2 Raging Brachy is best for confort past MR 70. Frostcraft + Punishing Draw from 4 Piece regular Velk + 1 Frosfang Barioth is good for some weapons but deco heavy Element weapons like Velk 2 + Mix of Namielle / Frostfang Barioth Gloves / Garuga Greaves until Safi Sticky Bowguns and Raw CB like 4 pieces Raging Brachy + Ore chest (focus) or Barioth Legs (Slugger 3)

This is what Im trying to get.

What would you suggest if I want frostcraft but haven't gotten to fatalis yet any substitution for the dragonbarbs

I was able to get lucky on my third save(due to hard drive issues I lost my previous two saves lmfao and I had a full fatalis/alatreon set in my second save sad a well xD) and beat fatalis tho farming him has been painful but I have a nice set in mind for what I play with frost craft + 2 pieces from Fatalis set to unlock secret on maybe things like agitator or latent power for a lot of crit bonuses, just gotta build around the idea since this seems good on paper but idk how good it’d be in game

You know Steam backs up all your saves, right?

For raw sets, rex roar b chest and yian garuga legs b can be slotted in place of raging brachy, as that's a huge jump coming right out of the end of iceborne if you aren't being carried in SoS with people in fatalis gear lol or want to progress solo. Silversol gear for elemental for the same reason. Soloing safi isn't impossible but.... It's a pain.

I think the reason they usually dont include it anymore for progression is because Rex Roar requires you to farm all the way up to MR70, which almost no one does anymore.

@@yd6655True, plus if you have a spare WEX deco you can just use Frostfang's chest instead and get similar/better value right out of the gate (also that 1 piece Punishing Draw bonus is nice if anything).

I just started sns in mhw and I'm using the defender sns any beginner suggestions, I like the action but I'm torn with going elemental or sticking with the high attack

no, fatalis SnS is so much better for damage, and 2 pieces of Fatalis armor doesn't really do anything aside from you no longer needing health boost.

Perfect timing, my noob friend has mained sns up to Alatreon now, and I was thinking of duoing it with him to finish off the black dragons. This'll be perfect for us.

As a SnS player, I have got to admit that the amount of your misclicked Perfect Rush crushed my soul. Jokes aside, for people who want to copy the raw DPS set, please get Critical Eye 7 with affinity/Health/Elemental mod on the weapon for 95% affinity instead of 85%, also Attack Boost is not that important, AB4 + Dragon Attack 2 instead of AB6 is better in terms of dps. For elemental build, using Taroth Fire is a good option against Alatreon. I have tested Regular velk set vs Brachy+Toestra set pre fatalis, for extreme dps regular FC set will be ~6% stronger in 30 seconds, but the sharpness comfort and defense BrachyToestra set gives is generally better for most players.

you're switching armors pretty regularly in the story, something good to aim for is 3 piece teostra. really? i've been able to easily find full lobbies all year, ever since the Return to World promo thing started up. What system do you play on? also, they did make Safi scalable to less than 4P, I was able to beat it solo on stream in one single run. so, it's still doable, it might be a bit harder.

@@LordViettner i'm on PC, i can never find/join lobbies that even comes close to full and certainly i've never even seen anyone start a safi quest and i've waited for hours sometimes, even started one myself, waited for 2 hours no one joins if the game has anything like region lock than i have no idea what to do i also don't know if maybe i havn't beaten alatreon that the game doesn't have me join lobbies that has more players thats beaten it...
