    This product looks to be innovative and at the same time very practical. Overall a very nice system made in the United States.

    Hello, thank you for the great video. I was especially interested when you mention that modern day rubber and tire sizes don't necessarily need the Shelby drop. You mention 18 inch tires but what about 17's? If one did the Shelby drop anyway is it detrimental or just zero value add? Really curious. Saw some of your other things (including your Blue 1966 beauty) and plan to buy your leaf springs and potentially the front brace. My 1966 - figure 310 hp, 1 inch drop eibach progressive rate springs, roller spring perches, cheater upper control arm and roller lower arm. Based on those parts (not installed yet, just purchased) should I forgo the Shelby drop? Sorry for the long post, I am just fascinated by the technology and I see first hand you know the geometry of these. Thanks in advance....

    This is a good question over pizza & beer! Honestly I think the practical guy would say, it really doesn't matter. The engineer would look close and take into consideration every detail, ride height being key, travel, what the real over all camber gain might be in the 1st inch and then in the next inch, and so on. I say, the Shelby drop in your story may be helpful for a little more travel in the shock. No harm doing it- Future reference** #1 most important, BUY good rubber/largest you can manage, #2 make sure you have travel in the suspension, #3 solid spring and shock package (GAS/Shocks), #4 everything rotates smooth, free of interference and easy... all else is good beer & pizza chat- C Maier

    @@maierracing558 You are awesome...Pizza and Beer ? Other than bacon, what could be finer ? LOL.... much appreciated...one of my strengths is I "Measure twice, cut once"...meaning I research the heck out of things and I am not cheap but not a guy who spends for no reason...so your leaf springs for example...I could buy for half that but I am convinced there is more value in what you offer. Again my thanks...should be in touch soon for some advice and some ordering...Thanks

    The leafs genuinely work. The products that are 1/2 the price are not providing a solution, they are replacing stock springs. @@arcorob

    Charles..quick question. 1966 Mustang. New suspension, Shelby drop, 1" lowered progressive rate eibach springs, roller spring perches. Street use performance - Q: Toe in or toe out ? So many schools of thought but I am going for best most effective handling ...thoughts ?

  • @maierracing558

    @maierracing558

    Toe .... Not really a perfect answer here. Toe in helps high speed stability. Toe out helps with carving the corner entry. I lean towards 1/16" Toe out. We run as much as 1/8" toe out for our race cars but we accept the tire wear as a bi-product and sincerely don't see speeds over 100 mph for long.

    Still waiting for someone to produce a reasonably priced SLA for Fox Mustangs. Just because there wasn't a market 10 years ago doesn't mean the demand isn't there now.
