It is cool that you built those jigs. But that leads to you need a car hooked to it to show and explain the whys and why nots of all those adjustments

I didn’t hear you mention, that whatever angle the upper a-frame starts at (static.) DRASTICALLY affects camber gain, roll center Etc. Which is a very important element to the type of racing I’ve always done. But, has a major effect on suspensions and racing of all kinds! Otherwise, I’m glad I ran across the channel guys. You have some great, very informative stuff, Thanks! **EDIT** Whoops! Should’ve watched for longer than 2 minutes or so, before commenting… My Apology!!! 🤦‍♂️

So my takeaway from this is … changing my static camber and track settings in my V35 (length of LCA and UCA is probably introducing several different effects on dynamic camber, Ackerman and caster as the suspension is moving and steering angle changes. my stock knuckles with bolt on steering mods have no compensation for roll centre changes when changing ride height either 🤯

You should take that jig and make a full adjustable suspension set up so it’s a full bolt up Adjustable set up

I need to build this setup modeled for Toyota truck IFS. I suspect there's some problems with MOST of the aftermarket stuff people install, I won't even get into the 4 link issues out back

How about some baseline settings for common chassis? Some sort of starting point. Maybe even recommended ranges for such settings including ride height (drift specific)...please. Thanks. Love the videos.

The baseline is obviously the stock geometry of your car. There are no universal magical numbers. You should spend some time on researching the basics of suspension geometry. The rambling in this video is not gonna help you with that. For example, just changing the width of the rear tyres effectively changes the cars trackwidth, which changes jacking forces and roll angles ... and all of sudden the car behaves totally different and you have to tweak springrates/arb settings, caster and static camber in the front even though you merely changed a small parameter in the rear. So I hope you can see that, unless someone with the same driving style owns the exact same car with identical aftermarket kit, asking for settings is pointless.

Can you explain how camber wear specifically negative camber affects tire wear and tire to pavement contact and how to mitigate tire wear on a stock car?

Im trying to convert to double wishbone using s2000 uprights, would you say it’s easier to incorporate the s2000 suspension geometry or use the geometry from the original suspension?

There’s a huge amount of crossover between front suspension set up in drifting and grip driving. Basically don’t need as much toe or camber as they run, but the same concepts apply.
