Great video and explanation! Car is clean under neat too. Not typical condition for rust prone area like East coast! 😉

Does the stabilazer have way of turning up or down ? We changed al 4 rubbers on it and painting the bar and after that I have a strong clunking noise ? What could it be ?

The unique shape of the bar follows across the front of the car between the wheels. A couple of important points to remember. The weight of the car needs to be on the front wheels when installing the bushing and especially important when tightening everything back up. When the car wheels are in the air when you tighten everything up causes the bar to be in the wrong position. When weight is back on the wheels there is a torsional force on the bar that can cause a rough ride. The neutral position for the bar is when wheels are straight and weight of car. Also, The amount of bar extending past the bushing should be equal on both sides. Best to have front wheels straight. Last thing is equally tightening nuts and bolts for equal pressure down. Could be imbalance and incomplete tightening. Let me know if this helps.

@@fixittony we probably messed something up with this stabilizer bar, since everything was fine before that. we will try with the mechanic once again to turn it in the right direction up and tighten the bushings under the load of the vehicles. Thanks for the advice. I hope it helps

Hey all, #joesaric1 made an important observation from my shock absorber video…he noted at around 16 minutes the label on the stabilizer bar indicates there is an up orientation. Be mindful of that if you completely remove yours.

@@fixittony today we found that the direction of the stabilizer was correct and we just loosened the bolts put the vehicle on the ground and tightened the bolts of the rubber clamps. The result: the same hitting as before. Well then we found out that the engine mounts are to blame.
