Front-end Development vs Back-end Development

Front-end development vs back-end development... what's the difference? Web Development is about building websites and applications. It's not about the design, but about the functionality, but there is a difference between these two sides of the coin, let's take a look.
Remember to Subscribe goo.gl/6vCw64
In this video, I talk about the key differences between front-end and back-end.
- Definitions
- Coding Languages
- Responsibilities
- Where to learn
- How much will you get paid
- Which is the right one for you
The Front-End Development is the part that users interact with. Everything that you see when you're navigating around the Internet, from fonts and colors to dropdown menus and sliders, is a combo of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript is controlled by your computer's browser.
The Back-End consists of a server, an application, and a database. A back-end developer builds and maintains the technology that powers those components which, together, enable the user-facing side of the website to even exist in the first place.

Also, I believe front-end development, too, requires the knowledge of operations, math (if you are into the creative side of things), logic (making sure resource intensive API calls are kept as minimum as possible from front-end point of view). Now I am not really sure, in what category implementing caches and stuff comes under but from my experience, I would say that inspire of being a front-end developer, I had to do all of the above and the back-end developer was one who implemented the DB and made the APIs.

If anyone is looking to get into frontend development i would suggest following a tutorial and then start from scratch and try and make something like it. In the tutorial of making the website you learn the basics and then you can go deeper in to the css and js after. Html is a relly easy language to learn so you wont have to spend to much time on that. Then you can try and learn backend development as im trying now.

If you want to work on cutting-edge technologies like large scale distributed system, machine learning, then you should become a backend developer! As I know, frontend developers are always be looked down by backend developers and most people think frontend is easier than backend.

I have a question if someone here can answer. How many Frontend developers you need in a team if u have 5 Backend developers? My team currently function with 2 Frontend, and 5 Backend developers. We are building a web application. All are senior developers btw, but one frontend developer is mid to senior range. I cannot find answer to this question anywhere. Thanks!

Btw do this site give a certificate? Is finishing these courses enough to get a job or do u have to get experience ?!

Basic Design I've applied to tons of jobs as UI/UX designer but I got rejected becoz I lack the experience although I have the knowledge and the skills! Most companies On linkedin and other sites require experience and most of the time a college degree or anything that proves you are qualified for the job role ,that's why I'm asking .My problem now is with experience,I don't have any becoz I'm self-taught! Btw I live in Egypt but I'm applying for remote jobs worldwide and I don't like the freelance sites like upwork ,freelancer and all that stuff of bidding Currently I'm studying Css and I also want to study wordpress ,I know it's kinda long process but I'm willing to make that effort to build my career as a designer Anyways thanks basic design ,That's really so kind of you and I'm gonna follow u on Instagram

Hey Jesse, I was wondering what about the Udemy Front-End Class you've linked that you enjoy? I'm about 80% through that course and I feel like the instructor is just BLAZING through the content without explaining what he's doing or why! I've been studying HTML, CSS, JS & Bootstrap over the last few months and without this previous knowledge I feel like one would just get overwhelmed and quickly lost. I myself am having a hard time keeping up. I feel like I'm just copying the code he's type without any explanation why. What about this coarse resonated with you? Keep up the awesome work, I've really enjoyed your content and trust the information you provided. Mahalo!
