This is part 2 of an occasional series on servicing the 1980 - 1985 Suzuki GS or GSX 1100 and 1000 motorcycles. This video covers the servicing of the steering head and forks for the Katana sports bike (GS1100S; GS1000S; GS750S or GSX1100S; GSX1000S and GSX750S) and the street bike (GS1100E or GSX1100E). This video will also be relevant to servicing the front brakes on the GS850G, GS1000G and GS1100G Suzuki motorcycles from that period.

Thanks Bob for making these videos, I found your work after problems with my bike. My Suzuki isn't the same model, but has a lot of similarities, so they are very useful. I like your presentation style, very clear and detailed.

Excellent presentation Bob. I am currently overhauling the single front caliper of a gr650, and was delighted to see that the gs650 usede the same caliper, and obviously there is a lot more info for the gs than for thr gr

Nice bike, the GR. I had a mate who had one for touring, amazing the miles he clocked up, nothing broke which was all the better. Suzuki tends to use a lot of common parts accross its range, which means the GR should be easy to maintain mechanically, although I imagine getting body parts could be challenging.
