From Your Basement to a Bar Gig Episode 1: Self Assessment
Музыка
This series documents my journey as I work towards booking my first gig as a solo acoustic musician. In this episode I give an honest self assessment of a cover song to see if I'm good enough to play out.

Excited to see how this series pans out
Excited for this channel ever since the Hereford parody
This series is perfect for me!
Man. I hope you find success in any way you define it!
The cords you’re playing almost sounds like matchbox 20 “well I don’t know if I’ve ever been truly loved by a man that’s touched me”
I need to work more on keeping my eyes open more as well. I’ve been posting guitar clips online for a while now, and have done over 40 songs pretty well, but I still don’t think I’m ready for a gig. Excited to follow your journey with this series to see what else I can do to prepare myself.
Wow! Get_flanked can sing 😂 I think ur ready bro. I was not expecting this.
please keep going!
8:22 Definitely say it your way unless you can actually get the British pronunciation right 😂. But honestly as a British person ive always thought that sometimes here and there Artic Monkeys sound borderline Ameican. At least when compared to a band like Oasis. Hope to see more in the future this is great ✌🏻
Bro let's jam!! 🤘
I know this is a little older video, but here's my thoughts, as a semi-pro musician but also just a random viewer: Your rhythm was very good. Pitch was pretty good for the most part, there were just a couple of places where it wavered a bit. What I'd focus on mostly is dynamics/musicality. Just that little bit of variation, where it draws the listener in on the quieter moments, you dig in on the louder parts and can really tell you're putting your heart into it. But like you said, a ton of potential!
I like to drop/ raise the tune by half, one, or one and a half steps down. I like to drop the tone and sing higher, or raise the tone and sing lower I posted a clip singing a song by MCR 1.5 Steps down
You should do a video on how to do a mic setup
I think as far as the British accent vs American accent goes when singing a British song, I would just try to sing it in your normal accent unless maybe it messes too much with the rhyme scheme. Something interesting that's worth noting is that your brain uses some different neurons when singing compared to speaking. It's why you might pronounce something a little differently when you're singing, and is part of the reason why some British singers may sound like they sing in a pseudo-american accent. (Or that one article I saw a couple weeks ago was wrong lol)
Am I trippin' or your past twitch broadcasts are gone? Either way I am hella supportive of your new path and passion and I am with you to support along the way

Damn you should do a video on how to sing
Us Brits don't pronounce cuddles as "coodels", if anything, that's probably the singer's style
Career change?
