Thanks for your thoughtful and informative singing coaching videos. I had a really difficult journey through different singing technique and constant strain over decades. Many of your ideas have helped me. The most helpful things in my journey recently have been with posture, ie the muscles etc that support the vocal apparatus. Slouching forward for hours in my job has really damaged my posture. Focussing on strengthening my back and shoulders, bringing shoulder blades together, bringing head position back and over my shoulders (ie, reduce 'nerd neck'), raising a low tongue position, moving a slightly receded jaw forward and lifting the breastbone, as well as pelvic mobility and orthotics have all made a huge difference. A year ago I could not even speak without pain, and now I can sing simple songs with no problem. There's still a long way to go but your videos have helped a lot. Many singing coaches do not seem to emphasise to their students how important these aspects can be. I like that you focus on physiology instead of only using vague qualitative terms. Anyway, I hope this might help someone who is experiencing neck/throat muscle pain and tension when singing.

Thanks for the video! The yawning stretching exercise added so much stability to my higher notes already after one month. I have a question though: is it ok to do the yawn stretch exercise on my rest days? Thank you.

Awesome, that's great to hear! Thanks for sharing this with us! 😀 If you don't overdo it you could do a few of them on your off days. But if you feel that your yawning muscle is not recovered after a rest day(s) you should consider to skip them.
