RIP Abdul Qadir. The cricketing world has lost one of its sons. A great cricketer who performed for his country and entertained millions of fans who love the game of cricket. I remember Abdul playing in England for Pakistan in the 80s and bamboozling the batsman. Great guy. Condolences to his family, friends and his fans across the World.

In 1992, I met him at Under-14 trails at Airport Ground in Karachi, Pakistan. Down to earth person! He was treating us like his own sons!!!! Touseef Ahmed, Mohammed Aneef And Abdul Qadir were there. Rasheed Latif And Saeed Anwer used to come and visit my brother at Malir Sports ground in Karachi. My brother used to play by Malir JamKhana. Then, He moved to Ideal Department. Old days(1990-1994). There were the top of the top players in Karachi! The cricket was at its best!!! I will never forget those days!!!! Nihari , Naan And chai were the most common things among them.

When I was growing up when you got got someone out with a good leggie it was always called an "Abdul". Also you always pretended to be him by spinning the ball up in front of the batsman then hiding it away before bowling. He started the art of modern day spin bowling and will be greatly missed.
