From The Ground Up | Ep. 6 | Hours : Minutes : Seconds
Спорт
The final episode of Season 3. Five separate stories that you have watched grow over the last 5 months, culminating in Leadville for the race. What is often missed in this project is that we truly believe in building a team, a family and more, that it would be even tougher to do alone. Sit down on your couch with some popcorn and a blanket, but don't forget to bring your friends - this one is full of moments that will make you want to get off the couch!
Thank you to Dylan Hyman, Rebecca Bullock and Jackson Buscher of Hour Theory Productions for editing this episode so beautifully. It started as almost 23 hours of footage!
Of course a bigger thank you to: Megan Mouser, Mohnish Chakravarti, Brindley Faile, Kawika Mitchell and Amani Toomer who sacrificed and suffered for months to get to this point.

I cry EVERY TIME. But especially watching Brindley realize she's going to finish (and knowing how much more she had after that point). Just crying.

Love you Sarah!
Thank you for capturing the essence of Leadville for the rider who takes on hard things. It is so much more than an individual challenge, families are tied to the effort. It is life changing to realize how those you love want you to reach a big goal. Leadville is not like any another race it is such an amazing experience.

So cool. Rooting/rooted for everyone, but especially Megan since I'm married to one (and her uncle was a park ranger in Leadville for 30 years).
Great job guys!

Without a doubt that this is one of the best documentary series ever! Knowing all the hard work that goes into making this series, and keeping your own training and just finishing up the Life Time Grand Prix would it be to soon to be asking for the next season now? LOL😂

To say this has been highly inspiring is an absolute understatement. I am ready to ride through a brick wall for this crew, so proud of all of them! Such a rewarding experience, one I hope to be a helping hand for S4 too.
I've been hooked since S1E1 but this episode was extremely awesome! This years team was the most inspiring yet. I'm not an emotional person but Brindley's epilogue made me well up. I will definitely enter the LV100 lottery again in december. I live close to leadville so if ftgu needs a support volunteer in 2024 let me know (assuming I fail to get a lottery spot). It's always bittersweet when the season is finished. Cheers.
Absolutely amazing! Great job everyone!

The Leadville 100 mtb was the best athletic experience of my life. The sheer adventure and scale of Leadville, combined with the community and race culture, for me, was unparalleled. Racing it with my Mom as my crew was extra special. Congrats to all racers. Dig deep!
Wow, seeing them all fight so hard and making the cutoff…I genuinely cried! So inspiring, well done to everyone involved in FTGU 🙌🏼

There's nothing like Leadville and y'all captured the essence of it perfectly. It's such a special race for those participating and their families. Watching this brought back all the great memories.
I will trade high 5 training for a spot on season 4, deal?!?

One of the best, most inspiring series for amateur riders! Thanks FTGU for showcasing what this sport is all about 💓
I've watched it 10 times and I still cry every time! What a special season!
Amazing series-you inspiring me to train for Leadville 2024-I’m 6 months into training-recovering from 2 hip surgeries and hip arthritis. So many days I think there’s no way I can do this, but seeing this years ftgu gives me more hope than ever!

What a storyline of effort and success all round. Totally inspiring….and gritty! Congrats ALL!
You guys hit it out of the park! great finale! good to see Enzo and the others supporting the other riders. Great job Alexey and Ryan!! looking forward to another season hopefully!! This was EPIC!
Incredible series yet again. Definitely some gritty riders!
It is crazy that the video caught a picture of me at the start line then caught me and my family when Amani got cut. Amani said he was doing fine until Columbine. Before he is speaking, you can hear me in the background telling my family the horrors of Columbine.

Love it!
I get the feeling that finishing on only 4 months of training is mostly about winning the genetic lottery. I'd really rather see the participants have a year or two of working consistently with a coach to prepare, to include long training rides in the mountains. In that case it would be a lot more about grit and determination and a lot less about who your parents are.

Not really - goes to show how far the willingness to work hard, and proper guidance to apply that hard work can take you

Going to have to agree with Mohnish below! Our goal is to have people take on something so difficult that you find a part of yourself you didn't know existed. What could you do if you had 6 months to change your life?
