Stone, clay, bamboo and straw are combined to create beautifully finished walls. Many hands come together, to gather stones, make adobes, mix cob, harvest bamboo to build natural walls that are durable and breathable. Multiple methods of cob, adobe blocks and wattle & daub are combined to create a unique mix of artistic textures and lines. Witness as walls are made smooth with clay plaster and decorated with simple relief designs, and even metal doors made from scratch as the metal wood shop takes final form.

Much though I would love to build a cob style house, I simply dont have enough friends to do it in any kind of reasonable timeframe. I'm very much a homebody that prefers my own company (and maybe one or two close friends).

Crazy finding this, I met Bill in banamichi years ago while working on an Adobe project and after damn near 10 years I finally picked up their 'the straw bale house' book. I heard about you guys from other builders, awesome work! That seamless transition from the Adobe to door wave is seriously pro!
