I was born and lived all of my teen years in a Soviet apartment building like this one. The thing with these "common housing complexes" is you barely ever know any of your neighbors and usually all the light bulbs in the stairwell were stolen or broken. Every encounter on the stairs felt like both parties were potential murderer and victim at the same time. Pretty accurate depiction i'd say.

this just makes me think how horror doesn't need loud sounds for jumpscares. The face bending down to meet yours just did that with no sound and I almost pissed myself!!

the light in the doll room flashing moorse code for s.o.s. had me anxious enough, then it hits ya with the "shift to run" and my heart is racing

the ambience is amazing, the footsteps and that breathing??? the really subtle eyes in the dark, really good. the doll jump scare was a little cheap but honestly the game is so good at building up that creep factor that i dont even mind

Nice touch with the light switch clicking SOS at 13:46.

I don't think anything has gotten my adrenaline so high so fast as the late-game instruction of "shift to run."

This actually rose the hair all over my body. Well done, devs!!!!

The blinking and the movement from this person are what I like in this game! Since I could felt that I am the one who is exploring this creepy place in real person. Great job for the developer and P.B as well since it is like a movie! You now become one of my favorites streamers playing horror games trying to finish all things in the games and making me feel relaxed and scared at the same time! ( Sorry for my grammars and I am your subscriber)

The ending is just...Damm The Protagonist is already die in the first 10:29?look at 27:42 . So we're just a ghost in whole gameplay?

22:20 i hate that they used basic microsoft word text font for the wall writing. So basic, should have been blood splatters instead.

True, using that basic writing really broke the immersion to outrageous levels… why did they decide to do it like that when it wouldn’t even have been expensive is beyond dumb.

I just watched Hollow play this game and I don't know if it's because he played it pretty safe (looked away when scary stuff was going down, hid quite a bit, etc) but watching your experience with this was way more terrifying! I actually gasped way more and jumped heaps.

omg what a masterpiece this is. i was really scared and this means a lot because i played so many horrorgames already that getting scared isnt so easy any more.well done wow

Yeah dude its pretty impressive, the last indie game i played this good was "Lurk in the Dark" last year. It shows a massive dev team and budget isn't necessarily even necessary.

I forgot to mention. Got speakers that sound well on middle and low bass so its great to turn up the volume late in the video. The ambient background music is really good.

Yep, still watching for a day now on repeat. This game is great. Actually it reminds me a bit of Silent Hill No Escape. Only on steroids. Perhaps some of the devs there is the same?

Agree. Totally unnecessary, the game is scary enough without it and it breaks the immersion/atmosphere quite a lot.

Can someone explain the plot of this game though??? I really have no idea what is going on lol. It's just some dude creeping in someone else's apartment and it's haunted but other than that I have NO FREAKIN idea what the meaning of anything is.

People on another video said that the main character died midgame and you can see it in a mirror. He became one of those things and is trapped in this hell.

@@Arai_Somnia So you mean the guy you're playing with went into a normal apartment and then he died in that apartment and that's when it started becoming weird? And then it turns into a hell demension type thingy? That makes a little more sense I guess. The whole thing is confusing a f lol.

I grew up in the same projects in Ukraine. Very well done atmosphere. Well, I mean my building had more creepy shit but it’s ok. The game doesn’t have to be that scary. Типичная хрущёвка :)

There are earlier versions of this game. I found at least two. Trapped, its similar but different. Then there is Wrong Floor. That one is closer to this one. Got Trapped but seriously too freaked out to play far enough.

Agreed. Don't find myself getting easily scared but there are some good scary scenes in this game.

I fuckin' love first person horror games.

Really well-made game, but the storyline is kinda lacking, to be honest. I wouldn't even call it full-on psychological game. The premise is super interesting and there was so much potential using it to unfold the story. Guy goes to dead grandpa's house to collect the family's photo albums - what if we discover that all of this time, grandpa wasn't really the person the family thought he was? I think it's pretty horrifying, being so close to a family member all of your life, only to discover that you never really knew him all along. What if the apt is being haunted by the people who got hurt by grandpa's actions? And the only way for the guy to end this is to accept the fact that grandpa was never a good person, and he must live out this trauma in his own personal purgatory in order to repent for him. So many stories you can come up with and nothing really gets explained!! I wish there was more to it because all of the other aspects are pretty good.

This game works better with the mystery imo, not all games need to have detailed stuff explained to you. One thing that makes all the creatures so creepy in this is that we know nothing about them and we have to make out the situation ourselves (like the fact that we probably died mid game as seen from the reflection with the axe in the head).

This is so creepy that a little bit of poo creeped out of my pants !
