from struggle to juggle: John Nations 7 balls again

Спорт

This is my longest run of 7 balls ever caught on video. Would someone please tell me how many catches it is?
Filmed March 3 2008 in SC.
Balls: MMX 2.75 inch from 'In The Spin' Juggling supply. Check their website. Nice people!
Thanks to Toby Walker, Doug Sayers, Thomas Dietz, Haavard Hvidsten, Oliver Ash, Niels Duinker, Wes Peden, and Sondre for inspiration as I attempt to master this number.

Your dad is a BRILLIANT artist and the mall opening was lucky to get him. Also, a nice guy and conversationalist! hi to you and to him.

Thanks for saying that! I love video editing tricks as long as they don't take away from the juggling or the focus of the vid.

@janionnevill HI! I saw your nice 9 ball flash video, excellent work! It took me about 20 years to get 7 balls but I honestly only practiced it hard for about 4 total years. I think I learned most when I was using Gballz and these MMX balls.

Thanks all of you for watching and commenting! I know what Sondre means, about getting it higher to get it narrower, but I always have collisions when I juggle narrow. It's a form problem of mine. I think maybe Doug does it a little higher and narrower than I do. I want new video of Haavard too, to see how he's doing it now that he's up to 2 minutes. I gotta get smoother so I won't move around. I try 966, 5up 360 and half shower but can't do them yet. Cheers guys.

@incredipaininsane I guess it took me about 3 months to get it over 20 catches, back when I was in college. Then when I got some "Fergie" beanbags, which are like today's "Sport Juggling Co." balls, I did over 200 catches after a solid 2 years work. Good luck with your 7!

its around 287, all you need to do is count 1 ball and however many times that ball hits each hand you multiply that by 7. 41 catches of 1 ball = 287 =] awesome run!

hm...i cant juggle 7 balls like u. I can throw a flash not more. But here are some ideas: For me it looks like u throw the ball but you havent enough time to make a circle with your hand and catch the ball clearly. So if i were you, I would try to make the pattern higher, to have more time to make a circle with the hand and catch them clearly. Vova and Anthony dont catch the balls earlyier i think, they only make a bigger circle with the hands. Oh my english is bad, i hope u can understand me ^^

how long did it take u just to get 7 for a while. not that whole, 200+ catches. maybe like 20?

Holy shit and all that. Ok, it seems to me that your pattern is much too low. I've never seen anyone do 7 balls that low for their normal pattern height. I feel that making the pattern higher makes it narrower, and easier to make it narrower. Which you btw also need.
