As a little boy Bruno von Nünlist often got to drive along in next doors Daimler. In an era where Daimler was already strongly related to the Jaguars of its time. Although the Von Nünlists used to drive sterling BMW's, the English thoroughbred made a deep impact on little Bruno. The style, the wood, the leather, the overwhelming luxury, the way you could almost whisper the car door in its lock. These are the things he would always remember. There is no surprise at all there would one day be a car like it in his own drive. That it became exactly this here S-type 420 is the proverbial winning lottery ticket.

It's really interesting to see an outsiders view of British cars and ' British Ness ' . Despite appearances the British aren't as confident with their own image as we used to be , so a compliment from a European cousin is most welcome . Thanks buddy , hope you like a good cup of tea too .

@ Howdy Bruno! I love that you appreciate the car's originality & patina. So many owners of early Jaguars require "perfection". But it is YOUR car that is perfection with most or all it's original paint, and that dreamy leather with it's perfect worn-in look. You're an artistic type that appreciates it's highly unique avant garde shapes. Also perfect. I'd trade you my 420, but mine has the 4spd manual overdrive! 👋
