I never get tired of watching the axing process. What is the make of the axe you are using?

What do you use to protect the end of the logs while they dry?

  • @andyspoons

Hi there, thank you for being here! So the ends are glued to slow the drying process and hold moisture in the log. The slower the wood dries, the more stable the grain, so the less likely it is to split. It also makes it easier to carve for longer, dry wood is harder on the hands and the tools. I hope that answers your question!
