From Kuala Lumpur To PENANG: First Impressions of GEORGE TOWN
In this video we leave Kuala Lumpur and make our way to George Town on the beautiful island of Penang. George Town is known for its street food and its street art and we were really excited to check out! We start our day by struggling to find Kuala Lumpur’s central station and then take the 4 hour train to Butterworth station. From there it’s a short ferry ride to George Town on Penang Island.
We check into our quirky hotel in George Town and then head out to Chulia Street, where you can find one of the many smaller street food markets. We really loved our time in George Town, as it’s got a really relaxed vibe and it’s a lot of fun to explore the picturesque streets and beautiful street art on foot.
In the next video we go on what some people say is Penang's best hike!

A lot of people would rent motorbike to have a round trip in Penang, if u both know how to ride it then should try it! I would like to recommend “Suffolk House”, can have a afternoon tea there, but need reservation fst

the thing that is mandatory if you reach Penang, eat kandar rice, if you don't eat it as if you haven't reached Penang. just my opinion, glad you are happy to be in Malaysia, most Malaysians, we are friendly with tourists, just ask if you have any questions.

We bought the tickets beforehand on the KTMB website (the company that operates the train). The service to buy the tickets is called KITS - it's linked on the KTMB site. Everything went very smoothly!
