    I have found "The Imitation of Christ" by Thomas á Kempis a great aid in seeking true humility. There is little worse than false humility, which is pride disguised.

    Yeah, they were fleeing and so they probably did not leave the frankensce, myrh, and gold behind, but, took it with them. A thief would have stole all of this; but, the good thief Father is explaining, he did not take all of those valuables. His heart was so touched by the Holy Family.

    And another danger of humility is that it can be grandiose - look at how humble I am, and therefore I’m better than you. These are not fully conscious thoughts but can colour our attitude to others. Tricky.
