As a convert from Christianity to Islam, I thoroughly enjoyed this podcast. He touched on a lot of topics and themes that I could definitely relate to but never thought about. Like when you first convert you find converts going full conservative Islam and focus on outwardly things rather than inwardly and later you find that middle ground. Its definitely a journey and enshalla I am able to better myself inwardly more so than I have this Ramadan. Its also comforting and inspiring to listen the the story of someone who is in a similar situation to me (converting to Islam is not socially/culturally acceptable in my community) and in the end he turned out more than okay, he's a full of sheikh! Mashallah. I really enjoyed his nuggets of wisdom and listening to his interesting and inspiring life story. May Allah continue to bless you both.

8:20 Shakyh brings up an amazing point, Islam is the only way of life that both satisfies the heart, and the intellect. Allahu akbar

Islam has four schools of thought to have different perspective for reaching a concensus of opinion to settle a community issue in public n religious affairs. Diversity of opinion is encouraged.....It is democratic in nature, but cultural practices can dominate this beautiful aspect of Islam, that happens frequently which is unfortunate

i'm a convert from islam to hinduism, interesting how people from different faiths view other faiths, but i dont think the sheik understood dharma properly, it's from from dharma that christianity and islam has it's roots.

Islam in the Indian subcontinent has given much space to Hindu practices in its fold. I wish scholars like Abdullah Misra had settled in India and benefitted the Muslims of India.
