This is very similar to my story. Dropped out of high school in 9th grade and now I am finishing up my first year of my DNP program.

You are truly an inspiration to not only mothers, but black women and black men. I m a nurse and I haven’t pushed myself as much as I could have. But today is my breaking point . I will go back to school and obtain my DNP. God bless you and your family ❤

I love you for this. I'm 36 and going back to school as pre-med. I'm a freshman again but I'm ready now. I had gotten my Ged in 2006 started school without any support. Working over 40 hours a week being young and a runner, I quit. I'm ready the glass ceiling is my floor. Thank you for this.

Which is college are you teaching? I would like to be your student, I'm living in Westchester New York. I'm 30 years old moved from another country and still studying TASC/GED and looking forward to being a nurse in the future and a more advanced CRNA. I wish you have a great evening.

Wow! You are such a blessing I really needed to see and hear such amazing and inspirational life story. I am a single mother of 3 trying my best to raise my children. I really feel God is calling me to become a RN but with me not having a HS diploma I didn’t know how to start. But thanks to you I will not give up no matter how many obstacles life hits me with. I am 22 I already have my TASC/GED I already know what the things I need to do before I apply for San Jacinto college. I have to take HESI 2A exam and i have to complete 4 prerequisite courses with minimum grade C. What ima do is study for like 3 months then ima do HESI 2A exam in November or December🙏🏾 ima just happy I’m taking the steps I need to go to college
