From Belgrade To Novi Sad: A Day Trip That Feels Like Life Is On Slow Motion- But Happy

In this episode, I will take you on a slow day trip to Novi Sad- one of the most beautiful towns in Serbia, and is described as the hidden gem along the Danube River.
FYI: play this video while you are at work will make you start to reevaluate about work and life…
I made this video with a combination of clips from the two times I was there- both time as a day trip.
Let’s stay at the biggest pedestrian square, enjoy some good food with me, and relax in this laid back atmosphere.
Highlight places: 1. Trčika that’s a coffee bar decorated as a wooden tram car. 2. The most highly rate ice-cream shop- crna ovca
Follow along my journey to see how I live, learn, and take care of myself while traveling :)

Melody in the background under "real Serbian music" title is originally from a Sephardic Jews' song, used for the Bosnian sevdalinka "Кад ја пођох на бембашу".

02:54 ha ha ha ha Your train is part of high speed train service called SOKO. Your train is actually STADLER KISS train, SWISS train. But we have also 5 new chinese high speed trains, i cant remmeber model, they will also operate as a part of SOKO high speed service on the high speed rail Belgrade-Budapes. isnt finished yet. Will be for months or two. At the moment SOKO service has 5 STADELRR KISS double decker trains and 5 chinese trains. Also, serbian railways has, i do not know, around 40 STADLER FLIRT trains, up to 160km per hour, mostly FLIRT 2 and FLIRT 4 models. And METRO VAGON RUSSIAN trains, 20-25 or something like that. Also, up to 160km per hour i think.

At a first glance, you done kind of wrong. Seems that you took slow train ? Next time use Soko. It goes to Novi Sad in 33 minutes. Trains in your ride are Swiss made Stadler. Both . Slower and fast one. Chinese trains just arrived and will be used at intercity Belgrade - Subotica - Budapest. While in Novi Sad you missed biggest attraction - Petrivaradin fortress. And, no, it's not that expensive in Novi Sad. Try lunch at Belgrade Waterfront or Beton Hala, both places on Sava river bank. Kidding. Don't eat there. Will harm your budget unrecoverably.

I wonder what all the hype about Novi Sad is about. I made a daytrip from Belgrade and found it most disappointing - there is the small, formerly hungarian old town with nothing much more than endless food joints with unfriendly staff; the rest is a huge, socialist looking urban conglomeration with no beauty or whatever at all.

What part of city was built by Hungarians? It was under Austro Hungarian empire but it was built by Serbian architecture for the most part
