Yes, but the Swara system can be found mainly in Carnatic and Hindustani music.

I know to understand the pitch but can not sing higher notes without strain 😢

While listening to a song we have a clear reference and our voice automatically aligns to it. But without the song, we need to visualise everything from scratch, so that requires more training to sing notes without a reference audio.
