    @@watkinsrory hey dude. Thanks for asking. The first try went well, beautiful product and so easy. The challenges are market and packaging, I have solutions for both, just not the time. I am in the process of adding 30 market garden beds to my urban farm and this is taking up most of my time.

    my wife is like that too, she usually just lets me talk and look up at me all the time which makes her seem like she is second in the relationship (not true) but in reality, she loves being like that she chooses it. we love each other, respect each other as equals but she just does it naturally.

    Love the simplicity! I'd very much like to learn more. We are in the process of creating a campground and integrating soil amendment, growing techniques, all organic defense against pests, harvesting, canning/preserving.     I did a tour of a micro green setup last year ( Moncton,NB ) which was a much larger size...I found it really interesting. I believe the micro green business in this area is on a sharp increase.

    Love this.. I have the same issue in my small city. People just don't know what I am selling and also the restaurants think it's just a garnish. Private sales are non existent at the moment and I'm unsure how to get awareness out there so that people don't see it as just a garnish

    @@crystalrushworth255 This depends on regular people 1) learning and 2) changing their habits? Never happens. Some people, maybe. It sounds as though this concept is reaching market saturation, unfortunately. Like everything else, you have to get in on the ground floor to make it.

    @@katcoe1079 private sales haven't increased unfortunately. 95 percent of my sales are to restaurants at the moment. Due to covid in south africa we haven't had many markets happening but now that things are back to normal(sort of) there will be more opportunity to get into some of the local market days and advertise. Smoothly blend is a great idea. We have a big healthy community here in my town however is seems that the majority of them are only in it for social media and not actually willing to try or pay for the best

    I’ve watched a few different videos on growing micro greens. What seems to be lacking is the information that one needs for after the plants have grown, and the prep for sale. Are they bagged, placed in plastic boxes, cardboard boxes ??? How long will they last in the refrigerator? Do they have a very short shelf life?

    Mate it's so simple, 40% humid, light is max 55w 1m² but don't believe me, look for everything in the internet, do like an half year intense research so you know, and didn't hear it from just a guy on the internet

    what are the dimensions of your grow trays? 24in x 18in x 2in? and what are the dimensions of your racks 6ft x 2ft x 8ft?, and the lighting 1 tube fixture's?     A well kept insulated semi trailer sells for 2500 bucks out my way minus what a delivery fee may be. So if I wana do this in the next 14 months I can buy a substantial amount of cubic space cheap

    The shelves you can get at any Sam's club for about $100 per rolling unit. Google "grow lights" and Amazon will show you the way. Honestly, this is not about GROWING the plants but SELLING them. They are highly perishable and will not travel far. Unless you and your family and friends really love micro greens. Better have a ready market before you start scaling this beyond your own needs.

    Try moving the lights further away from the plants. Or maybe the light cycle (light Vs dark hours) are wrong for vegetative growth and triggering fruiting/flowering

    Man i wish microgreens worked for me when we grew them. Had a very similar setup to their old setup and the mold and inconsistency in sprouting (thanks houston weather) it just made things turn out bad

    In the USA, as long as your under a certain amount in sales, and sell them alive on pads, probably not. But check your local state regulations.

    I don't know about Canada, but in California you have to have inspection if you're selling "ready to eat." If you sell "wash before eating" there are fewer requirements.

    Iam happy to see successful people. In my experience as a farmer, microgreens are a pain in the ass. For the amount of time you put in it's barely worth it.

    Their system is what I would call an Earth Embassy. We can end malnourishment and poverty by building Earth Embassies and giving food to Foodbanks to distribute food to those who are in a rough time
